thank you for watching! i hope you enjoyed this foray into a potential series, because i can talk about indie games until the end of time. now that you're here... uh, do you like tweets? twitter.com/yakkocmn
1:49 "man it'd be a shame if you sent 100 dollars in an unmarked envelope to this address: _Wilmot's Warehouse_ " Y'know what Wilmot, you deserve a bonus
Hypnospace outlaw seems like a much more expanded and immersive version of a normal lost phone, which has a kinda similar setup but tells a very personal story, where you find a lost phone that’s already unlocked and you have to poke around in it to try to find what happened to its owner, solving puzzles built into the phone along the way to get more information (like guessing passwords or security questions using relevant information to the characters)
Wilmots warehouse sounds like my job as a slide tech lmao all i do is crop images as neatly as i can as fast as i can and its oddly the most chill/mindless desk job ive ever had lol
probably my most anticipated indie game right now is rhythm doctor! it started off as a demo in flash like. 7 years ago and it's finally releasing this month
For anyone wondering wilmot's warehouse and hypnospace outlaw are on the game pass which i didnt know even though i have it Gonna play them now thanks to this video i finally know what to do for the rest of the day !
learning about new interesting indie games are always fun, considering how my laptop can only run indie games properly. There is also the Lands of Dream games that have little coverage on youtube, which I find to be very beautiful. Its made by the same guy who was the writer for Talos Principle, another phenomenal game. One of them is available on steam called The Sea Will Claim Everything. I really recomend trying it out, it really was one of those once in a while experiences that stuck with me. Thanks for the video!
Hey yakko, there is a indie-game that you should totally try. It's calles "Omori" and has big Mother3 and Yumi Nikki vibes. Oh and awesome video, I always love to hear about indie games and your editing is amazing.
Play Floorkids its an amazing rhythm game and it has like no youtube coverage and its very underrated and the soundtrack is amazing Please just look at oi on steam or something
- You watching another indie game video? - Yes. - Please, stop it! You haven't been outside for a year! - I thought I have got rid of you last time Shame.
If you haven't already, check out OMORI! It's an amazing phycological horror, RPG that's got an amazing art-style, soundtrack, and story! Definitely check it out on Steam if you haven't already! :3 Another great video from ya, love how you explain a game's mechanics and dig into a game's style and music!
as a fan of obscure indie games I've got to say... Hypnospace broke me. I'm still struggling with the second mission and gave up on it. Should I give it another go?
'underrated videogame video exists' Me : *and my stupid ass still hoping for someone to mention ECHO, or atleast Hyper Light Drifter* The video : *doesn't* Me : *Sad Noises*
Can you PLEASE play pikuniku, by the way, I’m talking to YOU, not him, buy it, it’s 12$, available on ps4, Xbox, switch, and pc, and it’s on the game passit’s worth it. It has an amazing art style and you won’t believe your eyes when you see it, it’s funny and it has a really good yet simple story. BUY IT CMONNNN
The only one I knew about was hypno space!! These all look cool. Also please check out jimmy and the pulsating mass. It's an indie rpg and I swear it's really good. That's all I can say
@@yakkocmn id love to watch one actually. Pleajeune Bars is a jam and I’ve been listening to sleep time computing since I heard 2 seconds of it in your vinyl video
Thank you so much for bringing more attention to Hypnospace! It was my favorite game of the year when it came out, and I couldn't believe it when literally none of my friends had heard of it. It deserves to be a WAY bigger deal.
Clicked on the thumbnail for Hypnospace Outlaw alone. Fantastic game and you explained it excellently. Love your videos, Yakko. This one was great! Gonna have to check out Wilmot's Warehouse when I get a chance. COOLPUNK 4EVA BWLLLLLL
Fun Fact: In one of my friend's psychology classes, their professor reccomended Wilmot Warehouse, apparently it helped them understand how humans shape symbols and images with patterns.
Jay Tholen (creator of Hypnospace) has another great game called Dropsy where you play as a creepy clown trying to show the world you arent creepy and make friends.
I’ve actually tried Hypnospace, I like the recommendation but I don’t think it’s very good. It is interesting and unique, but it’s just my style of gaming that contradicts the potential fun I could have in playing it.
hypnospace is what i wish everyday was like. And it the exact genre of games i love most, the weird but that hit way to close to home. Reminds me of art skool, same kind of vibe.(knew 2/3 hek ye)
You should out lobotomy Corporation, or it’s sequel library of ruina. It’s made by a small South Korean company named project moon. These games are genuine gems with an intricate post apocalyptic world setting. Give both of em a try if they interest you!
