Fab video - I had a 200-600 and thought it was great but bit the bullet to get the 600mm prime which is even better.and is still light enough not to need a tripod.
is 8.16 the correct order? ciz I just saw a review of Sam and there it semms like sony are having pink hue.... this is opposite. wonder which one is coorect ? thnx
Currently my most used lens - I use it for sports (football) and just love it. While you might think it needs loads of light but I find even on a cloudy day its great (in fact I prefer shooting on such days). Focusing is fast and it's sharp sharp sharp. Monopod is an essential though!
This camera is awesome no reason to change for decade. When it got fb compensation now my g lenses becomes even more nice to have (as i am g lenses purist + special optic lenses from orher manufacturers)
I love my 200-600. I initially bought the tampon 150-500 because I was put off by the weight on the Sony lens, but within 6mo realised that the extra focal length was really worth it with wildlife, especially birds and birds in flight. I was at Bempton cliffs this bank holiday weekend, and the lens did not let me down. Even with the 1/4tc and losing 1 stop of light, it still performed fabulously fast allowing me to get some great images (and just the higher noise to handle on the cloudier days). I can honestly say it's a great, sharp lens at this focal length and price point.
How did you like the tamron? I just bought it this last week. Using it more for kid sport stuff and some wildlife. Liked the Sony, but couldn’t get myself to pay for it. The 1100 on the tamron was already pushing it on my budget.
I liked the Tamron, had it last year for a bit thanks to Tamron sending it out. The 200-600 however is a fantastic lens especially when you look at the price of it even new
@@DannyBligh I’ve just spotted the autocorrect error. Tamron Tamron Tamron 😂. The 200-600 is definitely great and I find it sharper. I hope you enjoy it.
@@jddorland it’s still a good lens, but if you’ve used the 200-600 you wouldn’t switch back. If only for the internal zoom, it means it balances really well in your hand the the half throw on the zoom dial is just lovely. Image quality wise I find the Sony sharper.
Hiring this lens for Cosford air show in couple weeks to try, not sure if want to purchase or wait for version 2 as don't need anything past 200mm often
@@DannyBligh Well now you can go to bed and dream about what you will do with it - those Puffin photo are Tickety-Boo I love my RF 100 to 500 but that extra 100 would be nice to have as I need to put the converter on mine to get that extra reach - cracking video and tips as usual !
Still waiting for DJI to relase googles and controler firmware update to make it compatible with Air unit O3, I'd love to get the new avata 2 as it has way longer flight time than my current FPV drones that have O3 on it, but i don't want to have to carry 2 goggles and 2 controllers everywhere i go.
The sad thing about this is I've done a 20x30 with a file from a Nikon D40 which has a 6MP sensor and it looked great. Of course it was done on an advanced Fuji printing system with a fractal upscaler but it looked great.
I have had the Air 3 for 10 months now and really disappointed with photo quality ! Is the Mavic 3 Classic really (really !) better ? Or having sharp photos with drones less than 2000$ and 900g is only a dream ?
There is only the A7SIII, it gives you all you need. It doesnt`follow trents, because it doesn`t have to. It doesn`t have to because it HAS no competition.
Does using A7RV lower resolution compressed raw file format (S) yield better low light performance than using the higher resolution raw file format (M, L and uncompressed)? Thanks in advance.
Great comprehensive review! I would like to seek your opinion. Given my primary interest in photography, particularly in areas such as travel, street, landscape, architecture, and occasional portraits, which Sony lens would you recommend: the 35mm f/1.4 GM or the 35mm f/1.8?
Jheeeez that’s a tough one. Okay, so i’ve owned the 1.8, i use the 1.4 daily. The 1.4 is incredible, there’s never a single time i look at photos and think it isn’t good. However, my first few years of using primes were with the 1.8 and it served me well. Personally, i think most people would be content with the 1.8
Hi, I'm thinking of getting a Sony system for my personal work (outdoorsy stuff) and the A7r seems the perfect choice. I need to know though, are you running into any softness from the sensor out resolving the lens ? I currently use Fuji XT5's and have sold off a lot of lenses that can't cope with the resolution. Now I just use - happily - the 28 1.4, 56 1.2 WR and 80 macro for most things. These lenses go well with the sensor. I have Canon R 5's for work, and had considered just sticking with that as they make good images, but Canon lenses are mostly heavy and clown sized compared to the Fuji's and there's not a good range of primes. Are you happy with all your lenses @ 61 MP ? Cheers for the video.
Funny you should ask this right now!! I’ve just literally in the last few minutes bought a new camera and no i’m not selling the Rv. I’m a wedding photographer/videographer and in the business we own a lot of cameras. However people are saving money and going for just photography at the moment and In that case I only have the Rv and A7Siii available. So I need a new camera!! I was literally hovering over the buy button for another Rv, it’s THAT good! Why didn’t i buy it? Because I can’t justify that money to use a camera maybe 25% of the time and only for weddings. So I bought the a7iv. I’d happily use 2 A7Rv’s though, i love the camera. The quality is great, i’ve never encountered any softness. But, if you want to save some cash. Nothing wrong with the A7iv 🤷🏻♂️ we now own 2 😂
Good stuff man. I just started a similar channel. I’ve been following you for a while. I’m glad to see a fellow creator finally start getting the views they deserve :) great content man. Your drone videos have helped me a lot in avoiding crashing my new drone in Manual.
I have a question. Actually, I can not decide between Avata 2 and mini 4 pro. I don’t want it just for fun, to earn some extra money as well. And I can not afford to buy them both. Can you help me decide?
I have the 70-180 G2 and it has the same issue tracking subjects moving towards the camera. Image quality is superb, the colors it renders are great, VC works great for video so all considered its a small prices to pay for roughly $1600 in savings compared to the 70-200 GM II. I am about to pick up the Tamron 28-75 G2 on sale for $699. At that prices any sacrifices I am making compared to other Sony lenses are marginal.
I wrote mine off first flight in manual but it freaked out on me when I switched it back into normal mode to land it, literally tanked into the ground 😅
Manual mode is no joke. I had many hours flying traditional DJI style drones. It did absolutely nothing to prepare me for flying acro/manual. Manual mode makes me really appreciate exactly how much a regular drone does the thinking for you. So much more than I ever could have realized.
