I loved the prequel a lot. The book was amazing and the movie was really enjoyable as well in my opinion - but yeah, the inner monoluge didn't get transfered on the screen that well. I mean, things make sense when you have read the book, but when only seeing the movie, it might leave you slightly confused
Nothing wrong with that. We all prioritize different elements and have different opinions/interpretations. I myself really enjoyed watching it even if I had critiques and would be excited to watch it for a 3rd time. Can I ask what makes it your favorite?
Excellent breakdown, just saw it last night and deeply disturbed by the abuse and obedient sons and wife leading them to irreversible tragedy after another.
You have some really great points and it makes me sad because season 3 really meant so much to me. Hopefully moving forward they can learn from their shortcomings.
I definitely think there was a lot of good to season 3 and I don't mean to take away from that. Overall I enjoyed the season. I just tend to be most critical of missed potential within things I care about
The worst part to me about Stop being removed is the fact that it removes one of my favorite Karen lines in the show: "Stop, 'cause I'm actually a human being and not a prop!" It reminds me that, oh, Karen isn't just dumb. She is able to learn from her mistakes and can actually be really smart about stuff like this.
Just saying, i actually like this film as a non hardcore musical fan. I just like enjoying things, amd even if you say this isnt great, i appreciate it for what it is. I may have no taste, but im happy and thats what matters
I do think that Wicked is going well, and I honestly think it'll be a good film. The makers themselves talked about their love of the musical, and I know Ariana especially ADORES the original musical. I have vague hope 🤞
I dont think you should be examining it that much. youre generally not getting anywhere with it. Friendcircles exist for a reason. they are not lies. They are groups of people you like. This doesnt mean you hate other people, but they are not your friends.
I loved the shakey camera. when I watched the hunger games for the first time, that scene sent shivers down my spine. Ringing audio, shakey camera. it felt trippy.
The problem is that the show and writing are intentionally deceptive. You see, lefty's are emotional and do not possess logic and wisdom making them the arrogant, deceptive, violent, dumb, and reactionary type, and thus, Homelander is a raging lefty.
In terms of movies who have the best vibes, it has to be Blade Runner 2049. The movie doesn't have that much of a plot and plot threads doesn't connect well to each other, but it has the best cinematography and good world building with a cool soundtrack.
i really not tryna watch a realistic batman i already live realism, nolan tried and balanced it but the batman 2022 is self obsessed to be entertaining. it's a unique experiment but one I'm willing to forget it's un-rewatchable.
Honestly, the movies whole meaning should have been "Not all wishes get granted" imo. Harsh, but unfortunately true. I said this in a reply and I'll say it again here. I imagine that after the "oh so big bad villian" is defeated and everyone gets their wishes, they are happy and everyone finally gets what they want. However, after a bit, some people start to abuse the power of said wishes after realizing how powerful they really are. I mean, knowing humans in general, most people would want to be the villain rather than the hero. So, things will quickly start going downhill for Asha and such. They will now need to find a way to seal up those wishes like before to make sure they won't be used for bad reasons. This plot can be used in many unique ways and such, It's a shame they didn't go with anything like this. Heck, to even sprinkle some emotional moments in there, at the end of the movie, once the wishes are sealed up and gone for good. Asha's Grandfather can be seen and shown living a happy life with Asha and such before eventually passing away. Showing that you really don't need any magic or fancy powers to have true happiness in life. This doesn't even need to be said and could simply be shown visually. Idk, there's so much that could have been done for Wish. The fact that random commenters on YT are making up plots and scripts better than a multi-billion company which has been around for a hundred years now is extremely embarassing, if I'm gonna be completely honest...
I honestly can’t tell if I love or hate this movie-love it for what it is (a sweet, harmless, nothing-burger take on Wonka) or hate it for what it says it is (a prequel to Gene Wilder’s Wonka). My personal head canon is that Willy slowly grows more savvy and cynical the longer he’s around Lofty, until he becomes the Wonka in the ‘71 movie.
It is not how you fight but what you are fighting for. “The Savage Curtain” Open quote. ROCK: You are the survivors. The others have run off. It would seem that evil retreats when forcibly confronted. However, you have failed to demonstrate to me any other difference between your philosophies. Your good and your evil use the same methods, achieve the same results. Do you have an explanation? KIRK: You established the methods and the goals. ROCK: For you to use as you chose. KIRK: What did you offer the others if they won? ROCK: What they wanted most. Power. KIRK: You offered me the lives of my crew. ROCK: I perceive, you have won their lives. Close quote.
Not defending the bridgerton team at all but another explanation for the cinematography and whole flow of season 3 being weird is the fact that the director was different than for the first two seasons, Daphne's season has three directors Kate's season has one of the directors from those three and Penelope's has a completly new director
Modern Disney is all about making money, I guess they do this sort of stuff because regular people other than critics like yourself don't really notice these unless they deliberately analyze this, especially kids so they don't really care anymore, they may make good movies every now and then though although I don't know any recent ones. Also even modern books manage to tell a story with their images LMAO.
Apparently everything is fatphobic and racist and every other phobic, even when they try to be inclusive, it's never enough. The world is sick of it and people are going to stop trying.
