Embracing a cherished dream, my twin sons, Mehervan & Mahavir, inspired me to create a RU-vid Channel. During one of our urban explorations, Mahavir proposed the brilliant idea to document and share our adventures on RU-vid. It was during this moment that Mehervan suggested the perfect name for our channel: 'DaddyExplorerOz'!
Over the past 18 months, we've witnessed consistent growth, and in 2024, we collectively decided to diversify our content with more motorcycle-related videos. As part of this evolution, we've renamed the channel to AdvExplorerOz. Accompanying the rebranding, we've unveiled a new logo, banner, and an array of cool merch, including neck buffs, T-shirts, and stickers.
We are genuinely excited to invite you to be a part of our adventures! Your support in liking, sharing, and subscribing is greatly appreciated as we embark on this rebranding journey. A heartfelt thank you for transforming the AdvExplorerOz channel into a thriving community!
Hi daddy .Great to see you back and well .good demonstration. My mate got the innovv h5 helmet camera. Very good but not dji action camera quality. I'll send your video over to him so he can watch this demo. Thank you...old dave uk
Great explanation, but will the Chigee work with the original BMW navigation app "Make Life a ride" on my smartphone. The reason I ask is simple. If you want to continue to use the original BMW app on the smartphone, it must connect via the BMW cradle or HUB at least every 6 months to be able to update it. How can this work if you no longer use the cradle and have the Chigee instead?
Good question, unfortunately the answer at this stage is that you cant run the connected ride app and it won't log ride data. If BMW decides to make the app android auto and apple carplay compatible, only then will it work. Having said said , if you have the cradle you can always connect it back occasionally and update the app and data. I tend to do that from time to time. Sorry for not being much help.
@@AdvExOz As long BMW doesnt make their app compatible with android auto & apple carplay, I will keep using my smartphone in the BMW cradle and has access to all the functions using the wheel. Thx a lot for the feedback. Maybe adding this issue into the next instruction movie about Chigee for the BMW riders.
That's correct and I do agree that I miss the ride log function. If BMW makes the connected ride app compatible with Apple car play and android auto, that would solve the problem. Time will tell
Just got mine based on your review and I agree they are worth the money. Build quality is so impressive and really easy to get my BMW GS Adventure up on the rear stand. These are a huge space saver in my garage. Cheers!
Great to see the Carpuride W502B Pro in action on the BMW! It’s awesome to have a road test and hands-on review to show how it performs in real conditions. Definitely considering this for my setup-thanks for the in-depth insights! #BMW1250GS #AndroidAuto #CarpurideReview
I watched everything I could find on youtube before making the decision and yours is the best one I came across as most of the other reviews came across to me as trying to sell the device but didn't go into depth of showing the features/pros/cons while yours are actually helpful for me because you are reviewing it as a rider, for example you mentioned the Bluetooth connection of the TFT to the intercom and phone was problematic (which I share the same experience, they work but I can tell the connection is not the best because audio quality is mediocre at best and unstable intermittently especially I am not on the bike but nearby), the bmw app which logs rides is a great feature and you also noticed and brought up the concern of losing that feature if we choose to use phone as the center point of BT connection instead of using TFT. You also showed how the device was put on to BMW's nav prep and how wunderwheel interacts with it, all small details but are really helpful and few others are actually showing in their reviews. Thank you for the great video!
I really appreciate your detailed feedback! It's great to hear that my review provided the insights you were looking for. Understanding the ins and outs of the device is key for anyone considering it, and I'm glad I could help!
Thanks so much Biggie. Feels good to get back on the bike and thankful for the opportunity to be able to share some of these reviews. Any adventures planned around Vic?
13:23 Chigee does not support Google Assistent (Hey Google) via bluetooth. This is by design and Chigee says they are working on it. So check their support website first! (I returned my Chigee for this reason and got a full refund.)
Sir, did you also test Google Assistent while using bluetooth? In BT trans mode it is not stable on my Carpuride W619B (in the other BT mode it is not supported by design)
Yeah just finish editing the road test version. Google assistant does not work similar to CHIGEE. Seems to be an android auto issue. Video will be released tonight or tomorrow
"Loud exhaust save lives". I don't know. But I do know 2 things: 1) loud exhausts are an absolute nuisance for everyone but the guy sitting on the bike; 2) defensive driving saves lives.
Well said! It seems like loud exhausts are the motorcycle equivalent of a toddler throwing a tantrum-everyone notices, but only the toddler seems to enjoy it!
A grate video... some feedback, the music is too loud and the voice is not audible. I would suggest listening to the audio on headphones before posting and matching all sounds to a level.
I would recommend the Chigee AIO-5 Play for BMW which is a much better fit and provides live data from your BMW through the pins that are not supported on Carpuride…
@@SaxUpYourLife not really, in Australia it's $400 more .roughly. Carpuride you can get for around $300 AUD (with current promotion), chigee AIO-5 BMW is $700. I know coz I have both.
Not for Android Auto: Chigee does not support Google Assistent via Bluetooth headset. (They say they are working on it.... see their support website for more) I returned my Chigee for this reason and got a full refund)
Thank you for the detailed information you provided. I have a couple of follow-up questions that I would appreciate your assistance with: 1) Is it possible to turn off the display on the device? 2) Can the camera be connected via Wi-Fi? Additionally, can I access and view the camera remotely when I am outside of my home Wi-Fi network?
Thank for the questions. 1. Yes, you can turn off the display 2.The camera has a built in WIFI that allows you to connect to the app. The app then downloads any available updates and transfers to the device. In short the device doesn't directly connect to a WIFI network and you also cant remotely access the device if you are away from it. Having said that, the software has allot of capabilities and future updates may included this capabilities.
Loved the detailed breakdown and installation tips for the AKEEYO EYES Dash Cam! This new tech is a game-changer with Ai features as well for #CarSafety and #DriverAssistance. Looking forward to seeing more road tests and real-life scenarios. Keep up the great content! #TechReview #AustraliaRelease
Great review mate, it great to see the choices that we have out there, i have the nav5 and the connectivity phone cradle but I like the look of the android auto feature, thanks for sharing 😊
Hi Gurby - great to catch up with you yesterday and see the Dynamoto motorcycles stand parker. Was amazed at the ease of use and the magic of those omni - directional wheels - definitely a quality bit of kit!👌 Wish I'd had one of these stands before I gave myself a hernia hefting my Ducati round the garage..... it's a Godsend for us old Farts!!!
Thanks Graham. Made life easier for me too especially after the spinal fusion surgery I recently had . Just can fault the stand. Also really good quality 👍🏻
Thanks for the detailed walkthrough on the Carpuride w502B Pro installation! It’s great to see a device that integrates so seamlessly with the BMW navigation cradle. Anyone else here planning to upgrade their setup with this smart screen? #BMW #CarpuridePro #TechUpgrade
Very excited to hear they're coming out with a 6" unit - I have a Zumo XT2, which is 6", and I feel like that's the sweet spot. So long as it still uses the BMW cradle, and doesn't cover the main dash, I'd be all over that. Great video!
Great to see you back in action after your recent incident, Thank you for sharing these information, i believe it's a value for money as BMW cradle itself can cost a fortune to own it. Can't wait to see the review on 6" chigee display and hope by then they fix the bug on the indicator and that you have to touch the screen to go out of the map. Thank you for the great details and review once again.
Hello sir. Just got your heads up for the video...thank you..nice to see you back after your accident..takes time to build up ..bike looking fantastic As always. Very informative explanation on the new chigee product. Great piece of kit .way out of my league. Technology and price...but your back Great .steady away mate .hopefully adventures to come in the future....ride safe my friend....old dave .uk
I dont really see a advantage of this Chigee. It's a lot of money for an device that shows the information that already is on your BMW TFT. Also you cannot navigate with it (other then from A to B).
You are right about redundant info but wrong about navigator function. The Chigee is just mirroring your phone. So, you need to install a turn by turn navigator app on your phone.😉
@@Rammit_Inha_Assol As you might have seen the MyRoute app is not working as example. At the moment i'm trying Calimoto, but don't work right with .gpx..
Again , that's because it requires a subscription and I don't have a subscription to it. Most navigation apps out there required a subscription is some shape or form
I am looking at getting a brace, what do you recommend? I hear some mixed reviews about it. Exactly, love the fact that the phone stays in the pocket. At least you have your phone with you incase of an emergency and you can't get to a bike. ( Like a crash or something) Thanks for watching the video. 🙏🏻
This off-road adventure to Blair’s Hut had more twists and turns than I expected! Mount Disappointment really lived up to its name. This video is a must-watch for anyone into #MotorcycleAdventure and #OffRoading-nothing beats the thrill of the unexpected!
Just when I thought the BMW R1300GS couldn’t get any better, this comprehensive review shows just how incredible it really is! The riding footage in Australia is top-notch-who’s planning their next ride after watching this?
