I DO NOT use ethenol gas in ANY motorcycle, lawn mower, blower, trimmer, nothing and run them empty in Fall. Buy the real gas for ALL small engines. Ethanol gas is Environmental nonsense.
Thanks for posting. Mine is 1988 model ST145 and just broke fuel line. Try heating fuel line with hair dryer or heat gun to help get line on barb fitting.
I greatly appreciate the video but I would hope a paying customer would receive a new fuel filter and the tank cleaned inside and out. Just shows the difference between a guy doing a job for a paycheck versus a guy that owns the equipment and takes his time being meticulous.
I thank you for the lesson. I would like to contact you as i have that same carburator on an old Homelite string trimre and need the rebuild kit. i went direct to Homelite and they show no results when i search the model no. The walbro carb has numbers on it but dont retuirn anything either.

Ok I rebuild my carb like you showed , it will not start unless I spray some carb cleaner in it first then it will run , all though not real smooth. When I turn it off it all most starts but won’t stay running ?
@@cjpowerequipmentsmallengin2294 yup Will try cleaning it again. Thanks. Should I be able to blow air in to the fuel line a have it move fairly easy, I blow with my mouth, probably not the smartest thing, but I wanted to see if air would go through it , which it didn’t. So some thing is still closed.
Thank you for showing what the vent hole is for- I have a good super 2 saw but the duckbill valve was missing , I knew something went there , I thought it might be a vent of some kind.
If you think Reed valves is gonna get you compression you are full on the way to get good compression is to have a good cylinder and good rings and it’s not scored if you think Reed valves are gonna get you compression you need to go back to fucking school dude because you suck and being a mechanic
Very nice saw. I'm in the middle of a complete rebuild of my XL auto. What fuel mix were you running? The reason I ask is because these older saws call for 32:1 so I wonder if that's why it's running rich. With the non adjustable hi jet it mite be optimal to run a thicker fuel mix I guess. I have not tried. It's my first time with a fixed hi jet saw
Forgot one thing but although it's a good illustration, you have two nipples on the carburetor the left one and the right one . Which side does the line with the fuel filter go on and which side does the return line goes on?
Where did you purchase you Made in the USA fuel line? I bought the tygon yellow line but I am having problems with the line splitting where it is pushed onto the filter and carb port. Never seen that before. I suspect the line I bought came from China. Thanks for the video.
Same here. The tubing i got with my bulb kit didn't last a month. The fuel disintegrated it. Also, when I press the fuel bulb it's not pumping any fuel through. That tells me it's passing air. The kit that I bought must be the wrong kit intirely. So, where can I get the proper kit for my old trusted homelite bushhog?
this is my first look into rebuilding a WT-827 Diff. from think 2006 yard machines 31 cc mini tiller 21A-121R700 similar to bolan BL-410 I went to the walbro site, seen a new carb is 45 dollars kit called K-20 Diaphragm gasket and couple other things also on ebay but not made by walbro my primmer bulb is sep. from carb, I also see china look alikes for under 20, but I want walbro
Thank you for the videos. Helped a good bit. You never explained which oil hose goes to which spot, but I’ll figure out where they go if my oiler works or not lmao
what is the cause of gas leaking in the back of the plastic part that covers the piston? The tank is wet also. When I remove that plastic part there is a fair amount of fuel sitting in the piston chamber
But the fuel lines the problem is with gas tank not the carb don't mess with the carb unless you know how to fix a carb just buy the the tank it comes with lines already attached part number is 308181004
Do you know how many turns should I turn the high low screws to get them back to factory settings. I mess with them and now I want to try to rebuild my carburetor but I can't find the factory setting for the high low screw settings.
Eugene, typically a safe starting point is 1 1/2 turns out. You will have to adjust once it is running. The "factory setting" is generally used for a new engine with rich settings to avoid running the engine too lean.
@@cjpowerequipmentsmallengin2294 Thank you. But right now even with a new carburetor it won't even attempt to start I even tried starting fluid and nothing and I don't have a compression checker so I'm going to assume the motor is shot and might be time to save up for a new chainsaw now the other problem finding a good reliable made chainsaw for both home use and cutting trees for fire wood. I'm thinking either echo 4510 or husqvarna chainsaw. Or what's you thoughts on a very good reliable chainsaw???🤷♂️
Hi josh, when I took off the diaphram, the gasket was stuck on and I didn't realise there were two pieces and reassembled it without and it floods like crazy, gotta di it again ! bugger !
Just picked up a super 2 for $40. Its still in the case, looks like it has only been used a couple times, zero wear on the sprocket and original bar and chain. Can't wait to get into it.
You prolly dont care at all but does anyone know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I love any tips you can give me.
@John Wesson Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
