The reason screens get clogged is because people are sloppy and do not remove sawdust from around the fuel cap before they refill the tank and let the fuel filter come off the fuel line and any sawdust in the tank ends up in the carb.
Hi josh, when I took off the diaphram, the gasket was stuck on and I didn't realise there were two pieces and reassembled it without and it floods like crazy, gotta di it again ! bugger !
this is my first look into rebuilding a WT-827 Diff. from think 2006 yard machines 31 cc mini tiller 21A-121R700 similar to bolan BL-410 I went to the walbro site, seen a new carb is 45 dollars kit called K-20 Diaphragm gasket and couple other things also on ebay but not made by walbro my primmer bulb is sep. from carb, I also see china look alikes for under 20, but I want walbro
I thank you for the lesson. I would like to contact you as i have that same carburator on an old Homelite string trimre and need the rebuild kit. i went direct to Homelite and they show no results when i search the model no. The walbro carb has numbers on it but dont retuirn anything either.
I have a Walbro WT 471 (non adjustable high speed jet) This Homelite Yard Broom (blower) does not have a throttle trigger but only levers on the choke and throttle butterfly-for two speeds. Question...the high speed jet has a fixed plug in it, sticks out about 1/2" and I cannot turn or seem to do anything with it...what are my options? The engine seems to load up with gas, I did install a new primer bulb, needle, and metering diaphragm. It initially ran excellent but then started to load up with fuel, lose power and bog...spark plug is soaked with gas.
Hello, I'm no pro, but you may have to adjust the metering lever. If it is set incorrectly, it can prevent the needle from fully engaging the seat. Results in fuel running through the carb and an extremely rich condition. See RU-vid for how it is done. Good luck.
Ray, sorry for the late reply. Without seeing your exact carburetor it is hard to say. Generally when a carburetor only has one adjustment screw you have to find a happy medium with the settings. You need a clean crisp throttle and not too lean. You mentioned that you replaced the needle, when doing so did you check and make sure that your metering arm was not set too high? If it is too high it will cause a rich condition.
