The update basically broke AF on all my lenses, adapted don't work at all, the Sony 18-105 sometimes works but defaults to MF at random times, the Viltrox 1.4 primes have been the best but still are on MF at camera start up. Also my playback is doing weird stuff... I don't know how to explain it but is seems to do something different every time I use it... and I need it to LiveU to one client so thats just annoying af.
AF works on all my Sony lenses and I had to update my Sigma 16mm to the latest firmware update and AF works. Outside of that I don’t have any other issues.

I got the a6700 with a sigma 16mm f1.4 beginning of September and I’m so happy! Just got the a6700 cause it’s more hybrid since I also enjoy taking photos lol but zve1 is awesome!
im having the some issue with my fx30 I went from version 1 to version 4 but after that I could not updates the the further versions a bit frustrating I was so excited to start using shutter angle, please do you have any suggestions
@@BrionneOlsen oh man, thanks a ton!! And just for the record, you'll absolutely not be held accountable if anything happens to my camera. Thanks again. :)
@@BrionneOlsen yeah. These cameras verify file integrity before proceeding to update anyway. So, i just updated my camera and AF with 3rd party lenses is completely broken. It's fine with first party lenses though. Also seems stable otherwise.
can you share the update file friend? because sony is suspending the download column on their website, so i can't download from their website right now
UPDATE from Sony: Important Notice An issue requiring investigation was found in the ILCE-7RM5 software released on the same day. Just to be safe, we have also temporarily suspended distribution of this software. (September 13, 2024)

FX30 Ver 5 Update: www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/camcorders-and-video-cameras-interchangeable-lens-camcorders/ilme-fx30b/downloads FX3 Ver 6 Update: www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/camcorders-and-video-cameras-interchangeable-lens-camcorders/ilme-fx3/downloads
My last short has the directions but here you go: How to install to the latest Version 5 Update for the FX30. • Download the file from the Sony Website • Format the SD Card in the camera • Make sure there’s no files you still need on it • Copy the File to the SD Card • Insert the card in the camera • Make sure your camera is sufficiently charged • Navigate to Settings • Under Version, Update the Firmware and you’re all set
@@BrionneOlsen the usability is so easy I can literally take quick shot when I'm driving in a city or my wife it doesn't feel like putting a big thing in someone's face also most people don't even know it's a camera haha
I just got my a6700 in April, and while’s I’m still learning it, I’m enjoying the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8. It’s a little big but value for money and pretty sharp! Great for photography and some videography. My first prime lens is the Sony FE 20mm f1.8 G lens, which sits in between 35mm and 24mm on APSC…great for video and some photography
No crap, it is! My client was like, "im old and fat, can you make me look good" and I stumbled onto the soft skin effect filter. Works like a charm. I bought this thing because it was tiny and had autofocus. I didnt care about gimmicks. Boy was i wrong, theres so many little game changing magic tricks in this small package. Some are janky, some are genuine deal makers.
Like the review thinking about getting this for my wedding and music video. I can't see paying for a fx3 are a7siii when something new is around the corner. How long can you shoot 4k24 and 4k60 with out over heating issues
I personally didn’t experience any overheating during my music video shoot but then again it wasn’t continuous recording. The longest I probably recorded at one time was 20 mins and didn’t shutdown.
But my understanding is the sweet spot is 55mm to 85mm... maybe up to 105 depending on the position of the pupil. This is where the Adapter shines truly but I’ll definitely make a video on it and test how far it can go.
Great editing, great quality, great explanations! Thanks Brionne. I think I gotta go with the OG zv-e10 just because of the price difference $799 vs $1399 in Canada for the body! I'm shopping for my first camera for home studio, stuck on the tripod, talking head type vids. Thanks again for this vid!
@@BrionneOlsenthat’s crazy I was gonna get a aiii on facebook for 200$ but I’m thinking the zf1 or 10 for my instagram and RU-vid the phone doesn’t compare as far as detail etc
@@BrionneOlsendo you think the aiii will be good for workout videos and RU-vid or get something better it’s gonna be my 1st camera is was also thinking canon r50
@@Tydatrainer85 If you want the full frame look, I would suggest the A7C - same sensor as the A7III or the A7CII with an upgraded 10 bit 33MP 4K sensor.
Nice video on a mic that I've relied upon for 2 years now. I'm about to buy a 2nd one, as my use case often requires 2 cameras and I've decide to use the same mic on both. Reliable, small, headphone jack, wind resistant (I keep the furry cover on mine most of the time). And with phantom XLR to PIP 3.5mm adapters (used for the auto on/off sensing), these can double as mics for a higher end audio solution such as a Zoom F6 or similar recorder. Flexibility.
