Thank you very much! I had a thought to make a sequential shifter but I was lucky because I found a TSS with a damaged board an fixed it with an arduino!
@Dano PT I'd really have to watch lol I could but my brain would hurt. I really need an e brake to play gt7 on my setup. I have T300 RSGT and the thrustmaster shifter. I made a rig but it pulls the analog stick and it only works on carx not gt7. gotta go back to the drawing board.
@@SameerSingh-yp2ei // Analog eBrake-Handbrake // PIN A0 to 10k pot output - Throttle Axis // Use with Arduino ProMicro. // Tested and working in DiRT RALLY + ASSETTO CORSA // by AMSTUDIO // 20.1.2017 #include <Joystick.h> void setup() {pinMode(A0, INPUT); Joystick.begin();} const int pinToButtonMap = A0; void loop() {int pot = analogRead(A0); int mapped = map(pot,0,1023,0,255); {Joystick.setThrottle(mapped);}}
I'm considering building my own based on this design. What are your thoughts on the spring you chose? Ideally I'd want it to be a pretty heavy spring, how would you rate the one you chose here?
@@DanoPT thanks for reply, so basically i got functional arduino handbrake and rotary pot readings after this question, and i was thinking i could maybe use a bent pole and use the bend as the pivot point, i would have to research gearing ideas
Ordered Pro Micro. Burned bootloader with Uno. Spent a day wondering why my pc doesn't see it. Broke micro usb socket. Next time i'm just going "mad max" with a real car.
Awesome Video, I have a UNO R2 board, Im trying to run the software but it errors out, seeing it is not compatible with board, can this work with the R3 Uno board?
Man, oh man... I want to build 4 of these because they could be used as normal pedals. The components are hard to source in my country and they are a bit expensive, especially the side plates (the ones in the video are too expensive and when you need 8 the cost ads up) and electronics (good luck finding the potentiometers). It took a while but I managed to reduce the price from around $100 to around $70 in total, cheaper than secondhand Thrustmaster t3pa pedals. For anyone in Romania, reply and I'll send you a constantly updated list of the parts you need.
@@DanoPT Ce misto! Daca imi iese chestia asta bine, pot filma si pune pe youtube cu "credits to Dano PT for the design" la inceput?
@@Don_Melon toate lucrurile din video sunt luate din Dedeman, Leroy Merlin și Briko. E aiurea ca nu le găsești toate intr-un singur loc… le cauți la secțiunea de mobila si lemn.
I got the arduino and everything to receive the code, however whenever I try to calibrate the slider the numbers are all over the place and won’t allow me to actually calibrate it. any ideas?
@@DanoPT even with the potentiometer disconnected and only the arduino plugged in the throttle is still going crazy. Unfortunately think I’m just going to scrap the project. So close 🥲
@@DanoPT yeah probably thinking it’s the board. I thought it might be the wires so I removed everything and resoldered as best I could and it made it less crazy but still unable to fill calibrate none the less. Thanks tho
It doesnt make sence .... you use 45mm potentiometer and 50mm plates .. but i dont think it is rally 45mm potentiometer .. because i do all same and potentiometer go only 20% no more ... i stuck here because i think you have less mm
You don’t need the hole potentiometer to slide 100%. It will work like that when you calibrate the device. That is why you need to calibrate the device. Mine moves only 20% but works like it is 100%
@@DanoPT so this 20% is exactly 100% of brake move .. ok i dont have yet arduino so i dont try :D thanks i was scary when i saw this drive :D i work 3 hours now on it cuz in my county some items doesnt fit with holes and some parts is not same :D now i will w8 for arduinp and done :D
Super tutorialul!! Am facut si eu una am gasit toate materialele in dedeman si leroy, in afara de switchuri (am folosit un controller de tastatura. Mi ar placea un tutorial pentru schimbator de viteze daca ai in plan ;) succes si la cati mai multi abonati
mate, i don have weld. i juz tie the hole & stick it on. Right now i am stuck in last part , when test the throttle botton, is out of control but still can push that button! have any idea can repair?
