I don't main LS, but there is this time where I loss over and over again to a high rank khezu using my main weapon being the GS and then I quit playing GS and tried out other weapons stating with the HH I restart my journey. Eventually I keep on practicing doing quest over and over again. Until I returned on using GS and suddenly became good at wielding it. I was playing MHFU at the time and I'm on my way on defeating fatalis.
I main longsword but we were about to fight diablos so I switched to hammer. 2 of the other hunters in the lobby thanked me for changing weapons. BTW I just joined that lobby so they never saw me use LS in a match. In multi player hunts I limit myself to only vertical slashes or pokes. I only go all out when I'm by myself on a different part of the monster. I have been fighting like that since freedom unite. Long story short. I use hammer or bow for multi-player hunts. Unless it's sunbreak. If you don't have 1 rank of flinch free that's on you. The armor and qurios crafting gives you so many skills.
i remember me and my boyfriend were fighting ancient leshen and i was flinching the shit out of him and he was like "well ur doing more damage than me so why not" loll
I like how each représentation is a reference to the game itself, either a event quest, an artwork or the story of weapon ( the Kelbow 😭 ), this animation was made by a true fan 🥹
I hear the congrats, as I lay down my longsword and grab the great sword. I see positive nods as I put it aside and pick up the switch axe. I feel reassuring hands on my shoulder as I prepare the dual blades. And suddenly, nothing. As I draw my longsword again and do my thing in peace.
I was a diehard Long Sword user in MHFU back then, I really wanted to use great sword but my gameplay style is more on fast and nimble so I really failed it, dual sword in the other hand I feel the damage is lacking and they are easy to break early game. When I started playing MHportable 3rd I tried its newest weapon and since then Switch Axe is my primary weapon. It has a huge damage, fast and nimble, and it has burst damage. Also it can transform into a Great Sword.
I started as a swaxe main in tri. Then, in the last couple weeks of playing that game, I mined a rustshard hammer. I leveled it a little and experimented. Then I dropped the game for about 10 years. I came back to rise and went all in on hammers. Then I picked up world where I have the fatalis hammer. I've recently been trying out dual blades, bow, and lance. Playing lance, I've been killed by longsword players. They need to be stopped. I can't afford the decoration slots to deal with your crap.
Weirdly enough I only started using Longsword near the end of the high-rank quests right before starting Master rank with Ice borne even then I only use it against a monster where I can easily flex the parries but other than that I use everything else aside from the ranged weapons (occasionally Bow) but Lance and Gunlance are my comfort weapon either the monsters die slowly against my Shield or in pieces there is no in-between
I saw the switch axe, and immediately stuck with it. I saw the Magda Floga, and mained hammer for the rest of the base game. I saw a fellow hunter using the SA as intended, and fell in love all over again. I mained Swaxe all the way through to fatalis and beyond. Before I ever played, I had heard about the Lance, and thought it sounded fun. With my lategame resources, I made a lance build, and now I'm addicted. Help, I've become a Lance Main
How anyone can boot up a game about hunting giant monster and *_NOT_* take the Unga Bunga, I will never understand. When I booted up my first MH game, as endstage weeb as I was, I saw the Hammer and proceeded to shout "I'mma go bonk it on the schnauze!"
@@weirdo911aw what about this comment makes you assume I even play long sword? Frankly I’m just tired of seeing all of the toxicity surrounding it from people like yourself
My goal is to learn all the weapons properly, that does inevitably mean using Longsword extensively. I can only hope my mind can withstand the process and I return to the other side unspoiled.
