I'm so jealous. My dream car in almost my exact spec. Personally I'd go with black calipers, but other than that it's perfect. Sounds incredible even in the video.
I have a new Nissan Auto version , over 50 mpg on a good steady run ,easy to drive ,however seats bases to short with no extension , jittery over the bumps , head room isn’t that great with the pan roof , but dives nice ,and it’s quite
I’m considering one when my currently lease runs out but not sure I could go back to a manual. I know purists would want to kill me for that but thoughts on the automatic model?
Well, I am of course a manual fan but DCT and Auto have their place, the former being necessary for huge power. The car is still epic regardless of the 'box. Auto will be more relaxing so better on the longer journeys. It is not as good as the DCT on the i4 version though but the V6 is the engine of choice.
Black with both. Silver ages cars now. The black pack does look okay with Nimbus but I still don't approve of it generally. Nimbus with leather looks cool. A rec car can go with anything.
BMWs X1 and 2 Series Tourer will likely get close in sales even though they are more expensive. People just cant help but buy the German cars even though in both cases, in terms of space, the Nissan has them beat.
I went with the missus and she spotted immediately that you have to get the top of the range just to get heater seats which is a must really and I was quite shocked.
Tekna Plus is top of the range. Next one down is the Tekna and comes with heated front seats along with a heated steering wheel. It also scrapes under £40K OTR. Which falls into the lower band of road fund licence.
From what i noticed, generally, people always bring up the holy trio: -Lightweight and nimble(Up to like 1400 kilos max, needs to be able to corner really well for example) -Great handling(Sharp and responsive steering) -Lots of feedback from car(So no electric power steering for example, but hydraulic is ok since it's somewhat the best of both worlds) ^Arguably the most important aspect in the "drivers car design fiat", the dance between man and machine simply must be present. Many if not all new cars are borderline computers on wheels to the point where you ask yourself "why even give me any control at all at this point?". I suppose it's a loaded question because it depends heavily on WHAT you're doing with the car. Someone who just wants to take a casual cruise, be comfy and listen to the radio isn't going to like the Mazda FD RX7, but yet the people who go out at 2 in the morning picking asphalt fights with other racers would kiss the ground the FD is riding on for the reasons mentioned above.
@@RevMonkeyIt’s a fantastic looking car but Lotus are now offering interest free credit (which Lotus must be subsidising so it’s effectively a discount) on a new car and there’s loads of low mileage cars available at £65,000 or less. Very strange for a car where demand supposedly outstrips supply.
@@adrianbennett3761 Yeah, Lotus oversupplied due to a massive issue with the USA and delays meaning attention shifted to UK/Euro cars. Such a fantastic car and an absolute bargain at the discounted prices. No great shock that Lotus have somehow buggered the market up for themselves.
@@RevMonkey They also had orders cancelled by people who had paid deposits and were promised their price was locked in. Some of those people will never consider buying a Lotus ever again, yet the cost of the interest free scheme suggests Lotus could have kept to their word. I think they got greedy seeing lots of new orders and it’s unraveled a bit. They were struggling to recruit staff but that issue may have been resolved by now. Presumably lots are going to China? Have you tried an i4!
