I'm not american, but I think that the slavery and segregation times should not be buried in history just because it might offend some people. We shall always remember that in these moments in history people suffered and died and their lives shall never be forgotten. The same goes for Germany always trying to hide the fact that they used to be nazis. Yes, they used to be nazis, so what? They are not nazis anymore. So don't hide history because if history stays hidden we will never be able to learn from it. We gotta learn from our past mistakes, to never repeat them again.

I usually don’t watch newer movies or go to the movies, however I was on a flight a few months ago and saw had previously saw the previews for this and laughed so I thought I would give it a chance, I’m so glad I did, what a wonderful film. Im politically on the left but think this new super woke ultra left is scary. Taking the side of the most marginalized person no matter what (DEI) is insane to me, and making the least marginalized people (tall white heterosexual men for example) the enemy is racism and is against what dr king preached, dei is against what dr king preached, it’s not judging the person on the content of their character it’s basically affirmative action on steroids that rewards marginalization and calls it “diversity”. Somebody left a great comment that most of the People who would benefit from watching this won’t!!!

I think one of the things thats different than the movie. (Idk about the book) Is that lestat encouraged and taught claudia. He showed that he actually liked claudia and she was part of their family. I loved the scenes in the movies where he would teach her when to kill and take her on parties with different families and show her off and they would kill those families together. Weirdly endearing and i enjoyed the teacher lestat aspect as well. Here in this show i wanted to see that. I know the actor for lestat would kill that aspect of lestats character. As well as i wanted the character to acknowledge claudias genius as well. I love the show though. They are doing such a great job!!!
Claudia messed with Louie’s head , she has more of Lestats ruthless qualities , she inherited the manipulative qualities as well . He did not deserve to die , and she had every right to leave on her own which she tried to do , if anything Louie could of just convinced Lestat to let her leave alone , and they could check in on her as nessasary … there relationship was not as bad as she made it seem by vampire standards lol
