Views on Vehicles focuses on new car reviews and news. Presenting by Robin Warner, a perennial car nut.
The reason for the channel's focus becomes crystal clear when you look at Robin's experience. He spent five years of his adult life as an engineer: four years in traction and stability control calibration, and little over a year in vehicle dynamics. He also spent 15 years of his adult life as an editor at various magazines, including stints at Car and Driver, Road & Track, Autoweek.
Robin still writes for several outlets today on a freelance basis.
Great job, thanks! We are shopping. We have been a BMW Family and recently looked at Mercedes. The braking system with Mercedes has me concerned. I wish this had been addressed.
I like the black wheels on this one and the dark blue color. My 2023 Kicks has black wheels. I also like the moon roof. But my Kicks was so much cheaper, and it came with a spare tire and remote start.
I really really like the new Kicks but I hate that the cost of the top trim SR with Premium Package has went up so much in price. The 2025 FWD SR Premium now is around $29,500.00 to $30,200.00 (depending on color choice) and the 2025 AWD SR Premium is $31,000.00 to $31,700.00 (depending on color choice). It can go well in to the upper $32K range with accessories. The 2024 FWD SR Premium was a few thousand cheaper. As you know there was no AWD option in 2024. I understand it has more features and such but it seems like cars just keep getting more and more expensive. Thankfully the starting price is similar. I do really like that they kept a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine and used an engine that has been out for hears and is proven reliable. I am glad they did not use a turbo as turbos are proven not as reliable. I am sure they went by what buyers wanted such as some more power by having a larger engine, having an AWD option and offering a Panoramic Roof. I think a sunroof like GM used in the new Trax and Envista would have been perfect and saved some money. But overall I think Nissan nailed it with the Kicks its just a shame that the mid trim 2025 SV Premium is now the price that the top trim 2024 SR Premium was.
Looks like carmel glaze to me. I bought a 2014 black highlander platinium for 62k which includes gap insurance for 1k and.1k for warranty extension to 10 years. Only difference is goofy light on left.side mirror and.extra outlet in central storage.
In the description, a direct link takes you to an article that I wrote about the Camry, which includes a set of specifications, written report, competitors, and more.
I bought the Accord Sport L prior to Camry coming out. Love the Accord but the Camry is definitely a better car. Except the following: 1) Left/ right paddles are for gear shifting (??) while the Accord's are for regen/breaking that allows almost one pedal driving. 2) The fuel consumption / battery charging graphic is at the smallish driver display rather than at the large center display like the Accord. 3) Front style would take a while to get used just like Honda.
I am disappointed on the Lack of 3.0 TSS… a family seven seater, has lower safety sense technology than a corola, that is driven mostly by a single person. Shame, toyota.
Every buyer out there! Please refuse paying the mark ups! It’s only us, the customers that can give a slap to the greedy dealers! They need to hear everyday that mark ups are a deal breaker! Please do not pay for it!
It's like you tried not to show the headliner or interior plastic panels. Why are you filming so much of the floor? A large diff on this is the interior color compared to beige or grey headliner + plastic pieces, and you showed... floor mats.
Great look at the new Camry. I don't know if Toyota made a mistake. Not for me to say. I was shopping for a hybrid. This car fit the bill. As they say. The Accord is also a sweet ride. If you like the looks. Even the Sonata offers some nice tech and comfortable features. But doesn't handle well. For the area I live. So Grandpa got himself a new Camry. Not exactly News worthy. Well not outside my house anyway.
They have to pro e that mexicanmade engine before I ever purchased that truck sorry. Remember everything he is saying it's about 86000 so it is more than the Raptor loaded Raptor 80000 with a proven engine.
I bought this same Civic in Urban Gray Pearl with black leather interior and I just love this car. I traded in a 2014 Mercedes CLA 250 to get it and have not regretted that trade for one moment. Econ mode is just fine for most driving around town and it has plenty of acceleration for getting onto the interstate in that mode. For my wife I replaced her totaled 2018 Subaru Outback with a 2024 Crosstrek just because she loved that SUV so much. Good to have both types in the garage as we did before. EDIT: Forgot to say I no longer have to put Premium gas and get 40% less gas mileage as in the Mercedes.
My wife and I bought a “Rallye Red” (should be “Arrest Me Red”) sport touring hybrid about 2 weeks ago. Had to negotiate on price for over an hour, but was worth it-we love the car. Plenty of power for acceleration; it presses you back in your seat and passing another car on the freeway is effortless. Seats are comfortable although there is no lumbar support adjustment. It’s surprisingly efficient. We took it on a ~1500 mile road trip: Ventura county CA to Bishop CA 45 mpg; Bishop to Reno NV 50 mpg; Reno to and around Lake Tahoe then on to Santa Clara county 54 mpg. We’re delighted with the car.
Dealers are manufacturing false demand. They only bring in a couple a day, and park the rest in some huge vacant lot to charge way over invoice for this old tech.
