A Close Look at the 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid. This Top Trim Gets All the Perks. 

Ya, it's probably the size of an accord in a previous gen.

It's certainly bigger. The government classifies it as a midsize sedan. But it's still about 10-inches shorter than a current Honda Accord and roughly nine-inches shorter than the latest Toyota Camry.

It's about the same size as a 1990 Honda Accord.

Will the trunk cavity below the panel accept a compact spare? It's amazing how so many reviewers don't speak of things so important to many people.

You'd have to get a base model hybrid Accord to match the price of this top trim Civic. Aside from lack of rear vents (come on, a compact/midsize sedan cabin isn't that hard to heat/cool) and lack of rear USB's (who cares). The Accord isn't going to have near the features and is uglier! The top trim Accord hybrid is going cost you 40K+. I don't understand why all the hate on the Civic and it's price. It's called inflation! Every auto on the market now is way overpriced! Additionally the Civic isn't the entry level car that it once was 10+ years ago. IMO, the Civic is a way better looking and more fun auto to drive than the Accord.

True that but to my eyes the new Accord design is dull and boring 😴, I just can't get over on how bland the Accord looks. I much rather have the faster much better looking 2025 Civic Sport Touring Hybrid. It simply looks more youthful and stylish,.

These days we constantly hear from everyone about how costly vehicles have become. When you look at the price of a 2005 Honda Civic EX msrp and I don't know what it included, the price was $18,000. According to a search on the internet adjusted for inflation is approximately $30,000 today. One needs to then take into account that the Civic today in the hybrid sport touring is loaded with not just every option but options that were not even conceived of 20 years ago and includes a host of safety, advantages, structurally and technologically, personally, I don't think $34,000 is so unreasonable for today's Civic hybrid, which is so far superior to what was sold 20 years ago.

Also, I have a 1987 Acura legend LS coupe which I absolutely adore. 38 years ago. It stickered for about $30,000 back then, which according to the internet, is about $87,000 today. As much as I love my Acura legend, I suspect the Honda Civic is a far better engineered car and includes many more safety and luxury features for a fraction of the cost.

@@SoBe80s. your point is well taken. Less than 4 years ago I purchased a new 2020 Civic EX hatchback for 22,900. I bought a new 1984 Civic S Hatchback for 6,800. In 2024 dollars that’d be 20,585.

A civic 10 years ago didn’t have 18in wheels, leather interior, Bose audio, lane keep assist, rear cross alert, wireless charging, auto wipers, rear view dimming mirror, 200hp, led lights, auto start, 9inch display, rear camera, larger cabin and power seats for both driver and passenger. It’s totally worth it. Those features were exclusive to luxury cars.
