Jeez Louise, no wonder I’ve never been able to pull this off! My suuuuper thick hair is WAY too long! My hair has NEVER been anywhere near short enough to pull this off!
You both did a fantastic job with this style and tutorial such a beautiful hairstyle she’s such a beautiful model with a talented hairstylist thank you for sharing
This was such a good tutorial. Ample patience, along with the diagrams and some vintage books on how to choose your style from the 1940s, I was able to give myself this haircut. It took a while and I had to use a spray bottle to rewet my hair, but it's a very forgiving process and turned out in VICTORY! Thank you so much for posting this, you're an absolute doll, thank you thank you!!
I'm not trying to be mean but she reminds me of that girl in full house in the beginning episodes when they come back from a haloween ball or something and gets told " you look like Marilyn Monroe".. she'd do the facial expressions and say " I am Marilyn Monroe silly". And Joey just looks at her like "...okayy..." The hair looks amazing, but the fact she's trying to act like someone she's not is a little off-putting and entitled. But that's just my opinion.
This is a great video! However it would be SO great to see more of the hair cut you start out with. The hair is clearly layered. But How are the layers? Length on different places? Shape of layers, etc. Because the right hair cut is an important base for making the wet set perfect!
this was really interesting to watch! i think out of all the sort of Rococo hair tutorials ive seen, this one came out prettiest so far. a nice balance between elegantly coiffed and artfully tousled. i wonder how long hair would affect the process? its wild seeing the transformation from a bob to this
Omghh i have been searching for the perfect Marilyn hair tutorial...they were good but not similar to marilyns .....thanks youtube for recommending me this ....this js THE PERFECT TUTORIAL i have seen ....its the perfect ❤❤❤❤thanksss
My mother was a 1950s hair stylist. Back then, the stylist did hair cuts and styles, nails, facials , perms, pin curls, rollers. She had blue/black hair (natural color). She wore it shoulder length her entire life (she died at age 83). She could pin curl her hair, while sitting in the living room, no mirror. It was always gorgeous. Your channel is fun.
Gotta hand it to this woman she looks like Marilyn quite a lot and she pulls of the facial expressions too. You have to have the attitude to do that. Props to her, beautiful and great job by the hair dresser as well. Loved it.
I did it. For anyone wondering, this took about 2 hours on my own and the back is the most challenging. Waiting for the curls to set now, I'm sitting under the hood 👩🚀 But even unstyled it looks very authentic, and the test curls I did lay beautifully!
The best and very well explained video and also the most beautiful model and excellent hair stylist professional that I have seen so far. Thank you for the excellent video
This was incredible to find. I've been looking for an Elvira wig, but none of them actually look like her wig. They are all just crappy wonky versions. This is amazing. I love you guys!
Thank You for making this video, I never understood how to use a wet set and style know I understand the basic pattern, You are a very good instructor.
PSA I just use the heat tamer spray. It says it’s a heat protectant up to 450° and I usually set my rollers but the this time I thought I would curl my hair with a con air blue 🔥 hell fire wand I’ve used it a dozen times but I never use the heat protectant. Apparently you have to read it and it says that you put it on and then let your hair dry FYI #Tresemmé ;( good thing it was only one section of my hair that I burned and fell out. It is really crappy packaging now black container with white writing you think would be legible, but they barely. Is it still better than some other products oh well
