Thanks for the informative review! Trying to decide between a 60“ or 72“ trolling motor on the same boat. Mainly coastal ocean fishing. Do you feel the 72“ is the right choice? Many thanks
Great video, Thanks! It's good to see what you can get up to in a 490 Renegade too as I have the same boat and rarely get off shore. Keen to see how you salt your mac tuna.
Cheers AB next time I get one I will film it. They great boats you should check The North West Island trip I did here’s the link now that was fun ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HB4q_vHgPtM.htmlsi=OVuEm4JaAxRXOXwU
Hey AB check this vid I did on the Renegade mate shows you the changes I have made in the last 6 years ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UsupEZV60Sg.htmlsi=IJWypP27EptjmgS- Cheers mate
Yes Peter I caught a lot more fish but didn’t put in the clip it was one of those days had many when I’ve been out and the weather turns impossible to film. One to remember I was stoked with the last snapper. Lost a couple of bigger models. Thanks Peter 🙏 😜🍺🍺
@@K.-T thanks 🙏 I didn’t get a good look at it that’s a first for me off sunny coast caught a few off Sydney years ago. Also bonito heaps common of Sydney not caught any here. Thanks for letting me know I will have to take another look. Such a diverse fishery this time of the year with southern species mixing with northern love it so much. Much appreciated your comments mate and thanks for watching cheers Paul 👍👍👍
Hey mate, I have the exact same boat and run a Suzuki 90 ho four stroke and it is amazing. Great fuel economy and heaps of power and top end speed of close to 40 knots.
Hi Paul, in the market for a similar size used Quintrex or Stacer after years not having a boat but I recall having green water a third of the way up a front windscreen a few times while pushing into the wind and steep chop to get back into a breakwater boat ramp. Worried about taking on a lot of water over the bow in such conditions so was looking for a full windscreen boat again. How do you go with an open bow section pushing into rougher seas that are sometimes unavoidable?
@@raymondmuskett4252 mate I just drive to the conditions but the renegade has the millennium hull it very dry boat. Very rarely do I get any problems of water coming in the boat. The hull is flared. I had a Stacer 1/2 cabin eco 2 hull I still recon the Quintrex is dryer but the start was more stable at rest. What sort of fishing are you doing May I ask and are you going to use as a family boat ??
Whaaat, OMG what a joke! Gotta be kidding me. Ok agreed the ingredients are good but a tiny sprinkle of salt pepper and no reference to the heat range. And the way he wrapped it no way your flipping it. It will leak out everything. Stupid
Big thanks for doing this video. Heaps of videos on new boats but pretty rare to get an unbiased long term review. Sorry if you mentioned it previously but what size minn kota did you get?
@@jetlee1981 Hey mate thank you for your kind feedback back. No I didn’t mention what size Minn Kota I have it’s a 80lb riptide 72 inch. I will give one tip get it serviced once a year no one tells you that. You will never have any issues with it they amazing. I just wish I was told that when I got mine. It great holds me in big sell outside and if the rivers running like they do up here in Noosa they hold no probs. It’s a 24 volt I use two 12 volt century lithium batteries on it. Easily get 3 days out of them bloody amazing. Plus they are blue tooth. Having said that they very expensive about 1k each but they have 5 years warranty. You can run them in normal agm batteries two twelve volts linked they were fine but had to keep them charged up but it depends what budget your on. I had normal agm batteries for 4 years. No problem. It’s just I had a few quid so I bought lithium never looked back especially when do a three day trip. Hope this helped Kind regards Paul 👍
Great to hear the feedback from the t-top experience... Ive been considering such an option... 👍 Thanks There is a very quiet but yet very loud something screaming out from nature saying it was designed! It's proven impossible for nothing to create something... It takes something to create something= a very real God. Psalms 105:3 NIV [3] Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. John 14:6 NIV [6] Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.❤
Thanks for your feed back, look for the small lumps of sand along the beach at low tide or twist your feet along the water line as wave roll up the beach, not on all beaches, good luck.
Yep, that’s what I like to do also. Might see you soon Scott. I’m coming up your way at the end of the month. Will give you a hoy. Would be nice to catch up, if you have the time of course. ☺️ Carol, from Cronulla, Sydney, Australia
my advice would be run the etec till she blows . all the brands you suggestted are good these days .you will pick up some extra kgs with the four strokes keep that in mind .im a suzuki guy and had a merc as well both great motors.by memory if you want to keep the weight down yamaha are the lightest cheers
@@GeneralSpades great advice mate yes I intend keeping the Etec till shits itself then upgrade. I heard good things about the Suzuki. I think most 4 strokes are pretty good now but great advice about the weight. I didn’t think of that much appreciated your comments cheers 🍻 Paul 👍👍
Hi Carol, yes been a bit slack but that's life at times, been busy on other stuff, all is going well for us, slow but good. Hope all is well you , say hi to Carol & Helen. More clips coming. Regards Scotty
@@gregorybaillie2093 I have an Evinrude atm Greg yes it’s been good done plenty of hours on it. I have a 4 years left on the warranty so with keep using until that’s up and probably put something else on the back. Not sure what. Thanks the comment 👍
@@TheHookandTheCook thanx for the reply Paul. Hate to be a pest could you tell me how many horses and if 2 or 4 stroke please as that will help me make a decision. Cheers
@@gregorybaillie2093 all good mate the Evinrude is two stroke 90 but I don’t think they make any two strokes anymore Greg all 4 strokes. Also BRP don’t make Evinrude anymore obsolete. I was just lucky when I got mine 6 years ago I go a 10 year warranty. BRP will still do any warranty claims if it under warranty. I was lucky I got the warranty it was a boat show deal at the time. Hope this helps 👍
@@andrewmichael219 yep so easy mate I don’t even get my feet wet. I have a clip that front of the trailer I will find the proper name and get back to you Andrew.
@@andrewmichael219 it’s called a catch and release it’s made by Quintrex fantastic. Not sure if I have any vids on the channel but I will make one if I don’t 👍
