my advice would be run the etec till she blows . all the brands you suggestted are good these days .you will pick up some extra kgs with the four strokes keep that in mind .im a suzuki guy and had a merc as well both great motors.by memory if you want to keep the weight down yamaha are the lightest cheers

@@GeneralSpades great advice mate yes I intend keeping the Etec till shits itself then upgrade. I heard good things about the Suzuki. I think most 4 strokes are pretty good now but great advice about the weight. I didn’t think of that much appreciated your comments cheers 🍻 Paul 👍👍

Hi Paul I have a Yamaha F70 on my Renegade 460, maybe a 90 for you next time. Baitmate in QLD make alloy bait boards of all sizes. I have one smaller than yours with two small draws works well.

Thanks for your video I had a 30hp Yamaha 2 stroke on my boat and replaced it with a 30 Honda and the switch transformed the boat

@@TheHookandTheCook just made manoeuvring easier and felt I had more control over the boat and my son noticed the same when he drove it. Trolling was much better I can maintain a more consistent trolling speed LOL 😂 wish I could afford an bow mount electric

@@peterhipwell4632 that’s amazing it made so much difference. You wouldn’t know yourself if you put an electric on the front made a huge difference for me. Especially up here in SE QLD with big tides. Thanks for the comments Peter I hope you get that electric on the front ha ha 👍👍

@@TheHookandTheCook thanks I have to convince the cheese and kisses about electric I’m in northern Victoria on the Murray. I don’t know if it’s the little extra weight buts it a big difference in manoeuvring the boat and trolling

I had the 610 territory legend and the big mega chopper bait board was an absolute pain in the ass. And they are crazy exspensive for what they are

Big thanks for doing this video. Heaps of videos on new boats but pretty rare to get an unbiased long term review. Sorry if you mentioned it previously but what size minn kota did you get?

@@jetlee1981 Hey mate thank you for your kind feedback back. No I didn’t mention what size Minn Kota I have it’s a 80lb riptide 72 inch. I will give one tip get it serviced once a year no one tells you that. You will never have any issues with it they amazing. I just wish I was told that when I got mine. It great holds me in big sell outside and if the rivers running like they do up here in Noosa they hold no probs. It’s a 24 volt I use two 12 volt century lithium batteries on it. Easily get 3 days out of them bloody amazing. Plus they are blue tooth. Having said that they very expensive about 1k each but they have 5 years warranty. You can run them in normal agm batteries two twelve volts linked they were fine but had to keep them charged up but it depends what budget your on. I had normal agm batteries for 4 years. No problem. It’s just I had a few quid so I bought lithium never looked back especially when do a three day trip. Hope this helped Kind regards Paul 👍

@@gregorybaillie2093 I have an Evinrude atm Greg yes it’s been good done plenty of hours on it. I have a 4 years left on the warranty so with keep using until that’s up and probably put something else on the back. Not sure what. Thanks the comment 👍

@@gregorybaillie2093 all good mate the Evinrude is two stroke 90 but I don’t think they make any two strokes anymore Greg all 4 strokes. Also BRP don’t make Evinrude anymore obsolete. I was just lucky when I got mine 6 years ago I go a 10 year warranty. BRP will still do any warranty claims if it under warranty. I was lucky I got the warranty it was a boat show deal at the time. Hope this helps 👍
