Hello, I'm very interested in the 1.5hp international m. I have one the same, but it's missing the governor. If you could let me know when it is listed on eBay that would be great.
Hello mate I am new to the hobby and just bought my first engine. I don’t have a clue what I am doing but think I will find your videos very helpful to me so thanks for posting. 👍
I've checked these things out and they are a horrendous price for such a little model. If you look around, you can buy a real hit and miss antique engine for the same money . Good instructional video though .
Yes they are relatively expensive compared to the real thing, BUT, models in general are expensive, These on the other hand, for anything else remotely comparable, are cheap as chips. An real actual hit and miss (not throttle governed) engine here in the UK starts at around £600 so still a good chunck cheaper. There is a slightly larger scale hit & miss model on UK Ebay right now and its £1700!!!. I guess it's all about what you want out of it, I've plenty of full size engines but I can play on the kitchen table with this on a miserable winters day, I don't think the other half would take too kindly to a 4hp Associated on the table🤣🤣. Thanks for watching 😀
@rustyrelics now this is true , the good lady of the house will certainly give a slight frown if she finds a guvnor spring in her cornflakes one morning 🤣 . On the other hand if they were a bit cheaper I would buy one for my dad too tinker with , he's in his 80s and don't get out to play with his tractors much now and this would keep him out of the step mothers way for a bit lol .
@kelvinsparks4651 yeah, can't see that going down too well🤣🤣🤣. Have you checked out Stirlingkit website?. This is about the cheapest model I can personally recommend (I have one but haven't got around to making a video yet) www.stirlingkit.com/collections/hit-miss-engine-model/products/upgrade-hit-miss-gas-engine-m90-stirling-engine-model-combustion-engine-collection?ref=rustyrelics They aren't as "scale" looking and do have a bit of a "toyish" feel, but bang for buck they're fantastic. Regularly on offer for sub £300 😀
