My best choice for painting in Blender is PBR Painter - it has layers, multipainting, masks, procedural masks, great baking, color correction for every channel and mask (including color ramps!), it truly replaced Substance for me. And it is cheaper. Now in version 2.4, version 3 will be after summer. Take a look at it, it really is very good, and I tried ALL plugins for Blender for Substance-like painting.

In the newer version of Blender, there is no longer "mix RGB", instead there is "mix color". I hope I helped and saved you some time.
