You just pick a class and you're off. You never really get to see your character in the 3rd person in any meaningful way so you don't get much in the way of looking different.
it's just weird having a variety of colors and sexual preferences cherry picked replacing white people in a series doesn't seem right introducing a hot woman first game and then making her less hot seem weird woman being good just because they are women(or gay) seem lame blaming me when games are failing just seem rude.
Haha, the double head zombies are a nice touch. And pretty funny too. Also, the reload animation on that weird railgun looks so cool. They nailed the artstyle.
An unpopular opinion, but I am giving up on Diablo 4 because it and every season basically devolves into a screenful of explosions at high speed. It's mindless, thoughtless and boring. Looking forward to returning to the POE(2) and Titan Quest 2.
I’m generally a slower pace player with most games so an overall reasonable slowing down of the pace between PoE and PoE2 is something I’m looking forward to
If combat were as simple as in POE 1 yes it would be too slow. When you have decisions to make & can calculate the threats coming towards you - you are not going to feel the speed difference while playing. It is also the case that this is POE & while they have made changes that will help them limit the top end - less multiplicative multipliers. In the long run I don't know that they can prevent the inevitable zoom. I've always wanted an ARPG as deep as POE but with combat that is interesting so I'm hopeful they can keep both aspects for the long run in POE 2.
Diablo 4 actually had fun combat before everyone whined it into being D3 again. The actual problem with its endgame was too much friction in running dungeons and too low monster density, not speed. I don’t want to see PoE2 turned into the mush that is late game PoE1 / D4 because of a bunch of premature whining
in poe your whole screen is bombarded with flashy effects and 1shotting every single creature without even trying, how did people even find it fun to play like this? this new speed is waaaay better
Yep for zoomers what want free hollow dopamine yes it is. Pretty sure i dont have to mention how unhealthy having game designed around getting dopamine hits every few seconds.
It takes me about 30 hours to finish the campaign in POE1. About 20 more hours to grind through low tier maps. So about 2 week of what feels like a work to actually start playing the game. If I have to spend even more time on mindless grind every time the new league starts in POE2, I would just drop the game and never return to it.
The only thing that looks funky to me is the roll/dodge. It feels like it kills the speed of the movement. They need to up the speed on that a little bit so it's not killing the momentum of your characters flow.
I'm curious to see how the movement abilities from poe1 translate over and whether the dodge roll will be end up being used mostly just in the boss fights
POE has given players too much power, and the game at this point is built around that, which is why we are getting POE2 and keeping POE. They will be fundamentally different experiences. Last Epoch and Grim Dawn prove you can have a slower game pace and still be enjoyable, it just wont be for everyone.
Or only the brainless dudes like slow gameplay because they can't think fast and they can't process information fast, because their brain is slow as fuck
I feel like what should actually be considered is not the speed of gameplay but the pace of decisions per minute. In one you are not making that many decisions per minute in combat really . From what we’ve seen of two so far however it looks like there is so many different choices to make any individual moment in order to make any little combo do tons of damage. If anything that makes the effective pace of Poe 2 faster because you’re actually making decisions in combat.
GGG have marketed the game to show us only really one thing. The pace of the game during campaign, we haven't seen any middle tier map gameplay, we haven't seen any 5-6 linked gameplay, we haven't seen a character end game mid max character gameplay. We have only seen the start with a character on mostly 1-2 Links if that. The campaign will start off slower, but some of the character's combo's already deal a lot of damage when timed correctly It's going to be different yes but its GGG I still think it will be totally fine with a properly juiced character blasting, just not one button blasting.
While it is true that we have yet to see POE2's endgame speed, we can't just assume that POE2 is too slow. I for one don't want POE2 to turn into what POE1 is now. Zooming and mindless Map runs. I personally don't care about Endgame I get the allure of it. It's fun - to a point. I definitely have to have builds that require more than 1-button just to keep my mind going without the mindless aspect of Endgame at it's current state.
Most of them are not even playing poe 1 or just very bad at the game and never reached red maps lol, these people are delusional, they think game is going to slow is good, because they think you can get more loot, but if i learned one thing from GGG, they are never going to make the game easy and loot free, poe 2 is going to be slower and less loot, so you need to grind twice or more for the same gear like in poe 1, gl if you are casual or bad player, because bosses goes back to full hp if you die haha, reality check can't come soon enough
I think ggg is too scared to alienate the majority of poe players, Johnathan already said it's important that "players feel like they can break the game"
i dont care for the screen oblivion in POE. POE is the best arpg hands down no one can really argue other wise. POE is the most complicated hands down all i hope is POE 2 takes lessons from POE and applies them to POE 2, and based on the interviews i feel confident POE 2 will shatter expectations. i trust GGG.
@@johnWayne-df6rm not casual friendly isnt an argument its an excuse. thats the only thing people can say about it really. anyone familiar with arpgs and not blizzard cucks know this.
It doesn't matter how fast or slow it is, as long as the combat feels great. Poe 1 needs to be fast in order to feel good, because animations suck. That won't be the case for poe2 though.
The game looks better every time I see something about it. Cannot wait for early access in November. What people are forgetting is that PoE1 started off even slower than how PoE2 looks to be starting. PoE2 will change so much in the first 2 years as people discover and understand more of the mechanics. Personally, I cannot wait to be able to actually see the gameplay.
Methodical gameplay is better than braindead zooming through the map, PoE1 wont go away anytime soon, it's still there for those that want that fast paced gameplay og experience, I hope it stays slow even at end-game.
Seems like people are forgetting they are designing POE2 so new player can breathe a lil bit and catch up. POE1 is overwhelming for new players. You can’t expect the game to be designed only for pro players
The way i see it POE 2 will completely "ruin" POE 1 for a lot of people, with the graphical update, the keyboard character control and the infinitely more nuanced/combo-based gameplay, going back to the stat-check fest that is POE 1 will feel very jarring, specially after people inevitably get used to POE 2. I personally don't see myself going back to POE 1.
You are talking about this like Diablo and other ARPG games are not slow as fuck compared to poe or there is no combo based gameplay in these games lol
My concern is that every character should have different storyline in campaign not just one as general. Poe1 is annoying every character plays the same and no skip campaign
i mean poe1 (first char lvling) isnt even that fast if u dont play some meta speed lvl stuff and u dont really know what ur doing, just because speed runners figured it all out dosnt meant the game is just fast like that, like lots of ppl take 10 hours for the campain, even ppl that have a couple hundred hours. ofc poe2 looks suuuper slow compared to the (now almost "normal" speedlvling stuff from poe1) we gonna figure poe2 stuff out and u can upp that speed that u see in the trailer by idk .... 2-3* ?
NOPE its just perception!!!!! Once we play at the slow pace for a bit we will still get the feeling of ZOOMING. Even though we wont be zooming as fast as POE 1 it will still scratch that itch. They gotta move the WHOLE bar way to the left, but youll still get your dopamine fix
