Elden Ring’s DLC Is A Disappointing Finale 

Midra was a religious experience, as was Messemer- while Consort Brodahn was kinda fun once I started parrying him effectively, as well as using items stacked specifically to help me stagger him with guard counters. First couple dozen attempts had me feeling pretty helpless, though. Had to step away from the bastard for about a week. I am usually a single weapon and roll around player myself, but I feel like Shadow was intended to expose us cruise control types, and push our lot to utilize the full suite of game mechanics and systems on offer in both base game and DLC. Miyazaki has always been a massive troll who loves to shake players out of their comfort zones and upset the prevailing philosophies surrounding his creations. He certainly did it with both Bloodborne and Sekiro, and I am eager to see what new wave of psychic whiplash is in store for us next.
