@@outdoorsdave711 yea it is, I had a m35a2cw/w and I absolutely loved it. I’ve had quite a few military vehicles and that’s the one I regret getting rid of the most
Not yet. We have had some hurdles with the Forrest service. After an in field visit they are allowing us to work on a hand tool and bucket basis. I wish our ore was that rich we could. We are actually talking about staking another claim with placer deposits so we can have that supplement our hard rock efforts.
These M35s should've really came with lockers and the LDS multifuel from the 5 ton, almost 80 more hp and almost 100 Ft Ibs more of torque. Imagine how much more capable these trucks would be, it would almost be impossible to get it stuck unless you extremely tried, and then with the 395s on it G177s. If my LDT ever gives out, I'm definitely going to put an LDS in it, should be a really easy swap since its basically the same engine with stronger internals. Also, what ramps did you guys use to get the 4x4 in the back?
Burn anything as fuel ?? you do know Diesel and oil isn't flammable, Diesel engines work on compression, not ignition. so you mean it'll take any kind of oil it can compress.
You are absolutely right. Diesels use compression to ignite the air fuel mixture. I call all my diesels oil burners. It would run on gasoline also mixed with used oil to lubricate the injection pump.
@@outdoorsdave711 Yep! I am going to try to draw on the caldera again for turkey, it is definitely a fun hunt! Less than 2 weeks for my first cow elk hunt of the year, I got drawn on the Navajo Nation, all of February to find one!
@@BigJohn505 . Good luck that's a good hunt. I have some great open season turkey spots in Jemez area and north of Gallina. I bet I put eyes on 50 turkeys around the state last year.
@@outdoorsdave711 I know the area, my buddies son almost got an elk up there a few years ago in 5b I think? (Buck fever, hah) I usually hunt unit 51 and saw tons of turkeys this past season also but didn’t get a tag, doh. I’ve been a cursed turkey hunter, yet to get one. Hopefully that will change this year!
@@BigJohn505 I actually passed on turkeys 50 yards from where I shot my deer. I was stalking them but gave up to continue my deer hunt. Had I just set a blind and sat the valley I would have got both but like you said buck fever.
Thanks for the clean-up work! With a phone call, that stuff can be picked-up curb side but people are, well I was going to say lazy but to load it and dump it in the desert takes some work, I will just say people are dumb.... Keep the posts coming! Thanks!
Thanks for watching. We are working in southern New Mexico. We have a bit of a hang up with the Forrest service and permitting. They were un aware of our site until we had a visit with them on site. They deemed that our site needed to be surveyed for historical significance. So we are at a hault because the ore pile is under what's " historical". Were as green as they come and learing as we go.
@@hummerguy Thanks for watching. I have looked into super singles but I really like the doubbled up look. I Talked with Boyce Equipment in Utah and he recomend the G-177 that I can doubble up. I destroyed a few ndts on a rock shelf and agree garbage off road. Wobbly on road but they hold air for now.
@@outdoorsdave711 How much they want for the G177? Everywhere I saw them, they were insanely expensive, especially for 10. I ended up getting the Goodyear 395 MVT. I haven't mounted them yet because I have to change the rim from LMTV to MRAP rims and put on the adapter plates. Also, I heard the G177 tires is great for wear, they'll last over 100k miles from what I heard, I don't know if its true or not
@@hummerguy They list at 350 ish. I wanted to keep this truck some what traditional but a little updated. I also have played with doing the 395 swap but I would need a Tommy lift gate to get anythingin the bed. I already use my kubota to put gear in the back lol. For now the old girl needs all the wheel bearings done and airpak gone through. I'll do a new master cylinder at that time also.
With the wheels we have the tire options are slim. Dump truck tires are to wide to doubble up in the rear. I found a good option from Boyce equipment in Utah. It's a modern heavy tire that will fit with out modifications and is radial. Thanks for watching.
@@Danzig5577 I have heard that they are hard to source and expensive. I want to keep it doubbled up in the rear just because I like the look and I have a bunch of spares for now. I may just gave to get a truck and do super singles so I can compare my self. Thanks for watching.
@Outdoorsdave just a curiosity. Have you ever considered, or do they make some type of track that would link the rear tires. 🤔 like on a skid steer? I mean Duece .5s axles are locked all the time anyway. Cool rig though! A " Duece and a Half Track" lol 😆
