About: I'm a diesel mechanic by trade, car enthusiast by hobby, I've got a passion for cars and anything off road, I'll show y'all what I've got and hopefully give some educational insight along the way.
I want a 100% hate Chrysler. Seaberries is what I own and I'm having issues where stars 1 day runs. Great, very next day. It will start, but they die on itself. Ha ha ha few people told me it was a computer. Someone go to a computer, put a program, put it in. Now it's doing the same thing. I actually got it started once after I put the computer in it ran for 5 minutes. Let it run for a little bit shut it off. Going back out there and try to start it. And he wouldn't start. It goes wing wing. Or the cylinder went on the stock. I don't know starter if anybody has any clue. Please write in the comments. What could be for me? It's been acting up for a whole year now and I've been owning it. It runs sometimes and runs. Sometimes it won't code. Reader keeps saying all kinds of off the wall stuff before. I got put to the new computer and now it's not reading it at all. Nothing it's telling me nothing's wrong with it, but yeah, it won't start and it's wing wing Wings. I mean by hasn't any info? D*** i*, let me know. Thank you.
Great videos but I have some questions as I am in the middle or swaping a 93 mechanical pump with a 95 fly by wire...I read and watched a lot or videos. But still have some questions and a little lost.
@@LookingUp-y7q I’ve gone from electric to mechanical but never the other way, my guess would be you’d have to swap an ecm from an electronic 6.5 and the wiring and the pdm and associated wiring, and some sensors feed into the pdm I believe too
@@hodgepodgegarage3911 I was told to take the manifolds, turbo injection pump out of the 93 and put it on the 95 but I am lost on how to get them to go in time
It’s better to do it yourself on those type of projects . I saw a guy paid maaco a high cost 💲 and after a year the paint started chipping so he took it to my friend shop to see what’s going on and he mentioned that the car was not prep correctly before being painted meaning they should of had primer the car first wet sand it let it dry so the paint can stick onto the car better . O well live life and experience life .
Your a real good diesel mechanic. I live in a small town and we don't have a diesel mech. I have a 93 3500 6.5 I put in a new battery and now the relay that heats up the glow plugs that shows lights on the dash doesn't lite up. I will start with the fuses and then try to find out if it is the relay. It won't crank. Any ideas would be appreciated.
@@09Youba thanks! On a 93 was that a mechanical pump or electric, on this truck the glow plug light was controlled by the ecm and will set a check engine light if it doesn’t come on, they are individual bulbs on the back of the gauge cluster, could be a bulb, but the glow plug relay things were knows to be crap, the 6.5 doesn’t like to start without glow plugs
I've heard a lot of bad things about Pensacola diesel.I have one of these trucks.I'm getting ready to buy an injection pump. Please tell me if that one's still working or not
@@brandonleon795 this one is still working, my latest video I made was of a 7.3idi I swapped into a truck and put one of their pumps in and it was bad and had to get them to send me another, the second one is working fine and they were easy to get a second one from but still annoying
most spray adhesives will delaminate with high heat. that's 3m super 77? that's why we don't use it for upholstery unless we want a temporary glue joint. We either use weld wood contact adhesive or Alpha adhesive. but I think those would attack the foam
Im old so 22 years ago doesnt sound like a long time to me, But in 2002 I had a gmc daully with hood and ground effects fully painted at maaco in Brooklyn NY for $1000.00 out the door... Base/clear and they did an amazing job....Did they fix everything, of course not... BUT We know its Maaco and we know what to expect..... and I was Psyched to see my huge dually all Black
I have a 91 4wd i don't drive much the connector is leaking im going to epoxy where the wires come thru the harness because i believe it leaks thru shorting to ground and the transmission won't shift out of low,I'll order another new harness harness and see how i come out, thank you for your share!!
After the 300th time watching this AWESOME video, and half way through my project on my 79 Formula, i have a question!!! 27:37 that wiring harness goes away. If i follow it through the firewall there’s one Red wire that comes off the Alternator. Not sure if that one goes too. Any Advice?! THANKS!
Awesome video man! Better than a movie. Just recently purchased a 77 ac car that's missing a bracket and all of the hardware. Got a decision to make soon. Thanks for your video.
That is the ugliest Firebird I’ve ever seen. What is up with the stance? Is it supposed to be a gasser or is this a 4x4 Firebird project? Why does it sit so high and why does it have those over sized rims and tire?
Thanks for sharing your experience. I have a metal garage similar to yours except smaller. And I watched about 20 videos on insulating one of them and have seen about 12 different methods. Each method seems to have its pros and cons. I hope you are satisfied with the results.
They are the worst place to go to you better have absolutely all the body work done and the door jams are s must to be painted and for $5,500 is a lot for a half ass job they should be painting everything and yeah it sits up really high but I would have taken those mirrors back
Sweet car, i love all 2nd gen firebirds. I have a 79 10th anniversary edition ta. Its a bit rough paint wise and interior but ive had it running and driving for a while with the olds 403. Its a complete solid desert car i got a good deal on from a buddy. I picked up a early 75 Pontiac 400 from a guy last year ive been debating on putting in.. Im leaning more towards a sb350 or a LS with a carb but know down deep that the 400 should be in it😅. Im not a professional at anything but think i know enough to get me in trouble.. The Pontiac engine will probably be more expensive to work with then a chevy, but not sure if its significantly more yet..
True story: A buddy of mine in high school (2004 or so) had a 01 Prelude. His dad paid for the $999 paint job at Maaco from silver to black. His dad went up there and inspected the car in the sun and noticed orange peel and paint runs all over it. He told them to sand it and re-paint it again. This went on about 5 more time times til he was finally satisfied. (I think they got their best painter to spray the car the final time) So in a way he got a $4,999 for $999 because they had to spray the car 5 more times.. lol But man that final paint job looked so good, It looked factory. "I'm not paying $1,000 for paint runs.."🤣
Love the car , love the paint for a daily driver , i will subscribe to see the decals go on , the stance is wrong but its not my car , your car your way ... Enjoy a very iconic car , Pontiac built some beauties
Lots of luck keeping it clean I have a Corvette and Lincoln Mark VIII in black and its an endless job they show everything even scratches and chips and dust ,when their clean and waxed they are badass looking but that only last if they are parked in the garage ,Maaco did a pretty nice job on your Trans Am good luck with it .
Worked next door to a body shop. What you don't know is how much they beat that car moving it in and out of the shop if they store the cars inside at night and move them out every morning. Beating a cold engine is not respecting the owners car
The body work is horrible! I could see the dents and wavy body line on the door immediately when you pulled it out. Looks like ass for $5,500. I'd be mad as hell.
