seriously asking now: - can they not 'hear it' somehow (genetic cochlea mutation, etc) ? - can they not afford the batteries ? - do they not want to change the batteries (annoying job/chore) ? like why is it so specific to African players, or even South American players, of MMO/FPS games (in the background)... this is crazy
@@Munenushi one explanation I've found could be the fact that black people disproportionally live in low income housing and there may be smoke alarms in these apartment complexes. Due to this they don't see it as their responsibility to change the smoke detector batteries because it's the landlord's job. So I assume it's a mix of laziness and the fact it doesn't chirp constantly why they tend to just ignore it.
