I like the video and topic! But how realistic is the usage of this setup over time (3 days) off grid? Once the battery is dead you need quite some sun hours to get it running again, especially in winter. My experience is that will be close to impossible. How are your thoughts on this? Did you test this?
Hey Tim! Thanks for the Comment! I really appreciate it! For me, It will charge in less than 3 hours. However, here in Phoenix, we won't have a power struggle. For other areas, I wouldn't know. I unplugged the solar panel and it ran for over 3 days and charged very quickly once it was reconnected to the panel. It's just like charging a phone. It didn't really take that long to charge. I have another one (not seen in the video) that has been running for more than 1.5 years and the battery has never been below 80% state of charge.
