As I go through life I find myself constantly coming up with solutions to day to day challenges. I thought of capturing that and publishing it here on RU-vid so that others can benefit from the time I spent figuring things out. We've all learned so much from watching RU-vid videos over the years now it is time for me to give back. As my wife likes to sometimes refer to my solutions (affectionately of course) as a hack, I have decided to name my channel GoodLifeHacker. If you learn something from any of my videos please like, share, and subscribe. It would mean a lot to me to know that I helped someone. Thanks for watching!
Might want to update your tags or title to include “Solar Stand”. This never showed up on my searches for solar stand but showed up on my frame searches as i was looking to frame some flex solars. This is one of the most genius stands i have seen.
To prevent that hack, simply drill a hole through the security locking plate down into the base plate and insert a nail the plate will not slide out. If really ambitious make a spring loaded locking pin.
This is the video I've been searching for. I knew there had to be a cheaper and easier solution that would still allow easy, manual pointing to follow the sun during grid outages. A diy sun dial/shadow indicator would be cool too, to make aiming quick and accurate. Thank you!
I wasted money buying that garbage, never again, only lasted 6 months. I ended up hiring a professional that used contractor grade materials. Going on 5 years now.
The trowel patch has been holding up well and the bags of gravel as well. I have seen the hot tar that the pros use not lasting long either. I wonder what your guy used?
You can’t emphasize enough the importance of shaking this product up. I made the same mistake and discovered just how much this stuff settles on the shelf.
Exactly why you should purchase the OnGARD door brace. Impossible to thwart and truly 3rd party laboratory tested to withstand 3100 lbs of force. Nothing out there comes close. My 2cents
I agree but I have to say I tried to use a broom stick to nudge it along since I had to get to the skimmer and it struck the end of the stick a few times then I just let it alone to leave on its own. If I stuck my finger through that hole maybe it would have done the same?
I hear you, but it did strike the broom stick a few times. If I stuck my finger in that hole maybe it would have done the same thing to it. I just waited it out and let it leave on its own.
It really depends on the current stain of your deck, I used a paint roller, scrub and power washer, and in some areas the stain didn't come off. There is no avoiding sanding before a new coating.
Back in the before all the environmental crap behr was a good stripper, last time i used i might have well just used water. I would not use this product
This was the most comprehensive video I have been looking for. I have a variety of driveways cracks, big & small holes, and depressions, and this video addresses them all. Well done and thank you for posting.
I found some clear plastic resealable more or less business card size holders. Put your info in there for water proofing. Tie it to the gas can or machine.
I bought this exact same set, branded as INCGO I might be spelling that wrong but it’s a brand that sells a lot in central and South America. Also Africa I was currently in El Salvador visiting my wife and she knows I love tools so she took me to the biggest hardware store and I got this exact set for $12, I was very pleased and now I have a nice set of insulated tools. They feel very nice and they’re like top grade professionals I mean it’s a Third World country but regardless, I’m very satisfied with the set I love you my wife.
Hi. Glad you were able to get them off without too much trouble. I would recommend asking S&W to send new ones over because they should be perfect and you might end up taking them on and off if you switch between a red dot and no red dot from time to time.
Agreed although honestly it is not a bad red dot and they shouldn't be inflating the overall price too much for it since I was able to pick up a CTS-1550 for under $70 and I believe S&W owns Crimson Trace.
Amazon. There are a lot of options. I got this one "BAOFENG UV-5R Ham Radio 8W Dual Band Handheld UV5R Two Way Radio Long Range Rechargeable Walkie Talkies Portable Radio Full Kit,2Pack"

@@goodlifehacker I spoke too soon, I did part of the deck and It did a good job with just the pressure washer but I did end up having to scrub the knots and stubborn spots.
@@SketchybrainDthat sounds too familiar. I have another video coming where I used all types of sanders on it and got it all stripped down good. It was painful to get all the spots completely out. After this I don't have the heart to stain it again with anything but a clear stain plus we like the weathered wood look. My main concern is just to prevent water and sun damage going forward.
@@goodlifehacker lol, yeah it’s my dads deck and the plan was to strip it and use a solid color deck coating he heard was good. I got a text from my dad saying he changed his mind after seeing it dry and wants to clear it now. So I’ll be staining his deck every other year on top of the rest of the upkeep on his house.
Sorry getting back to you so late. If you have three wires I think this is a different button as in not the power button OR a different type of power button hooked up to a relay so I unfortunately would not be of much help. I hope you made out ok. In my case it was just a simple button designed to connect two wires together so it was straightforward.
