I think our secondary is going to shock a lot other teams. We almost have too many good players that they all can't get on the field, but in rotation it is going to be hard to read all season. I think 2 minute defense will still look pretty poor though...
Drew Sample should have been released not re-signed. In five seasons as a former 2nd Draft Pick for Cincinnati he is nearly non-existent in the passing game and has not won the starting job. Last season Hudson came up from the practice squad and beat him out for the job. Now they bring in another TE, Gesicki, on a one year deal and make him TE1. Sample just got a three year extension. After five years in a Bengals uniform he can't move into a starters role? So they give him another three years? Makes absolutely no sense.
I don’t agree with your loser assessment. Which is rare for me to disagree with any of the things you put out. None of this is new. These are voluntary workouts. Now if Chase or Trent Brown didn’t show up for minicamp then that would be different. I’m not a big fan of talking heads on ESPN using these topics as headlines to shit on the bengals and I feel further identifying these players as “losers of OTA’s” simply because they did not show up to a voluntary workout further fuels the negative sentiment about our team. Additionally, I think the true loser this offseason from a fan perspective is Tee. Although this is simply how his agent operates, it gives Tee a bad look. Makes it seem as if he is all about the money instead of a Super Bowl. (Keep in mind, this franchise tag is the biggest money he’s made thus far)
