Cincinnati Bengals rumors and news have kept going with the Tee Higgins trade rumors even after the 2024 NFL Draft. The Cincinnati Enquirer has reported that the Bengals and Higgins were nowhere close to an agreement on an average per year salary. Trey Hendrickson has also recently requested a trade and even threatened retirement in order to get a contract extension from the Bengals. Lastly Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor has confirmed that DB Daxton Hill will be playing cornerback in the 2024 NFL season. Trey's contract was front loaded to give the team more room to maneuver after signing Burrow . He knew that when he signed it...also Trey isn't the one requesting shit it's his agent. I have no concerns with him

Bad thing about You tube and all these influencers sometimes they just don't like the Bengals and start crazy narratives so that is defiantly the story line this offseason... Joe Mixon to me was awesome I like How few fumbles he had... but so many people from ESPN NFL Network and influencers alike all called him too old Cant block and such... That was a Narrative by the way last season... BUT NOW HAHAHAH Since he is off the Bengals they all say Mixon is one of the best power runners in the NFL... Imagine that...

Players don't " EARN " a new contract or not off of 1 season !! He has 3 years of solid production, and contrary to popular belief, he's actually played in 58 of 65 possible career games !!!

@@JamesJones-th3ml he has 13 plus a half sack first year with Bengals.With the saints he played for 1 yr. he had 14 sacks as a rotational player.He's been in the league a total of 4 years.With a total of 53 in a half sacks that is pretty good for a lower round grade player.

A Super Bowl win doesn’t increase the salary cap or decrease the WR market value. They might be slightly interested in bringing him back on a team friendly budget deal . That allows the savings to be allocated somewhere else. But he’s not really needed with Chase on the roster. WR 2 and 3 are a dime a dozen.

I can dig that...definitely. Hopefully once training camp opens they're 100% focused on their goal & that's grabbing that Lombardi Trophy next February. Then the perils of winning the Super Bowl & trying to keep that team together happens.

Unless something has changed. The franchise tag is the average of the top 5 players at your position. Higgins is very good . But he’s not top five. Think 20 million a year is a very good offer . Either way , I don’t think they want to commit to a long term deal with him. He’s not really needed that much with Chase and now Burton on the roster . Plus they will probably draft another WR next year. Trey saying he want long term stability and then threatening to retire is just ridiculous . Nothing is more stable than getting paid zero.

Yeah I don’t think it’s so much about the average annual amount it’s about the guaranteed money. Bengals are very frugal when it comes to ponying up guarantees.

Probably. They've got 35 Million per yr, multi year deal, at least 90ish% guaranteed, to pay Chase next year or year after. Damn shame when you get too good at picking reveivers lol.

They realize they cannot have both Chase and Tee on high $28-30 mil each average along with Burrow's $50+ million dollar/yr deal. That is close to $120mil on just 3 players. If fully guaranteed that alone would be close to $500,000 in escrow money. They have decided to move on after this year.

Lmao no. Why would they do that? He still has two years on the deal he signed. And they have to weigh whether or not they can sign Tee and sign Jamar to a max. Trey will have to wait it out and maybe get an extension next year. They are all in for this year. If they don’t win they will let people walk and retool it’s the best option.

There is no benefit in waiting to extend your best players. Extend them asap if you truely believe in them. Prices are only going to go up and up and up. 20 million a year for Joe Flacco was once thought to be absolutely ridiculous and not the top QBs are demanding 50 million a year with the scrubs like Daniel Jones making 40. If you can extend Trey through 2028 for an average of 25 million a season you are getting a steal

So much money to keep us occupied with our feelings. Rule changes for the worst each year. I'm a Bengals fan but can't watch the league. Football is supposed to be America's sport , but the problem is they let money and politics change the sport . Doesn't quite feel the same nor does our country. Once a player's rookie contract is up they become spoiled kids and don't play from the heart just for money,fame,and popularity.Its like screw these fans I'm moving on to the next One.What a shame and those players with big contracts 9 out of 10 most of them end up not worth the big signing. I agree players are overpaid. Just as in politics use the majority of human population like cattle with no feelings to feed the top heavies. While we still spend and work for moving the economy forward and we're going backwards. @@mvozaru8925 I'd love for them resign Trey but I don't think they'll have enough cap space for Trey and Higgins plus Ja'mar chases contract is coming up next year. So I think Trey is leaving next year so Higgins and Chase can get resighed, The only way I could see all three of them staying is if Joe Burrow agrees to take a pay cut.
