I think what's so interesting about this album is only knowing that Gero is aband obsessed with piss/shit/masrturbation/homosexuality. And then coming across _Moenai Hai_ and listening to "The Gerogerigegege" for the first time and realizing (myself included) there's more to them, ESPECIALLY to Juntaro. Even if you already knew about their more serious work like _Endless Humiliation_ or _Hell Driver,_ it's still a kick to the balls when hearing this. Never judge a book by it's cover.
The whole band is extremely talented. It's hilarious how they seldom bothered to use their talent for anything other than trolling, for literal decades. Incredible band honestly. Crazy level of commitment to pissing people off instead of playing properly.
im from Japan, I have the similar feeling like his, I love Japanoise cos it represents us. in Western culture, you have Converge and stuff like that, this is Japanese version of mental of chaotic.
Thank you for reuploading this. This was one of my all time favorite records when I first heard it circa 2018 roughly and I couldn't find it for the longest and eventually forgot. Now it's back. Thanks.
the second track is the best piece of noise ever made by human beings and it is not even close. the transition from track 1 to 2 is one of the very best things I've ever heard in my fucking life
I just discovered anthony braxton while hanging out on youtube. I then did some research on him. In my opinion, he is certainly the biggest crook in the history of jazz. It's totally amazing that he could have such a career in the music world and have such academic positions. I mean, what is going on with the listeners, the media and the jazz community that they want us to believe that this guy is a genius? Everything about him is a problem: his instrumental technique is close to zero, his music itself is modern when it sounds like a beginner's band, his gibberish discourse about his music means absolutely nothing, but also his interviews in which he comes across as a pretentious old bigot. Please, retire and let the real artists play.
braxton's artistic output is broad and the majority of his studio albums aren't even free jazz, despite the popularity of "for alto" and "improvisation series" (which are unique and influential for their time). it's sad people still feel the need to spread these pointless, idiotic comments while being ignorant about the artist.
