Valentine Station, your friend on Route 66. I live inside an old and abandoned Route 66 Gas Station. If home is a person's Castle, Welcome to my Petrol Palace!!
Sharing stories from Route 66, tales from these two lanes, The Main Street of America, small town Americana and simple living. Valentine Arizona 86437. Population 32 + You!!
I rode right thru there on my bicycle in 2021. I rode from Southern California to Missouri. I took the route from Kingman, thru Peach Springs & back down to Seligman. That Peach Springs loop was nice. Got to see the train pass by the Valentine Indian BIA building as I was riding.
As a tour guide ,trade in your dirt bike for a golf cart. In the Song take it easy Jackson Brown used the word Ford because it rhymed with Lord . There was never a Ford. Do people still think that you can still buy gas at your station?
Welcome aboard! What do you want to see more of? Working on the interior tour next and the shop truck build video. I appreciate you watching and hope you have a great rest of your week! Thanks.
Hopefully in starting this channel we can share it with people who will never be able to travel here. Thank you, working on the next videos, Inside tour next.
I guess I missed the "Inside a Vintage Route 66 Gas Station." I mean it was just the title of the video, so I don't know why I expected that...silly me
Thanks for the video. Your video reminds me so much of the cartoon movie "Cars" in 2006. Everything seems million years away after the pandemic. Take care.
When I was a kid my parents made me ride in the back of a station wagon from MO to CA, all on route 66. I didn't appreciate it back then, but I'd love to do it all over again. Thanks for the tour.
you might check with the town of jerome arizona re: the gold king mine it might be possible to aquire any or all parts you could need for your gmc possibly other items of your style & patina
I, too loved to pull my arm up & down to get a horn blown by the truck driver. Lots of fun. Now, I’m a truck driver (nothing fancy like the old Pete’s & kenworth’s)and I love the old nostalgia of all roads across America. I love the small country towns, the deserts and the greenery of the south & east. I see you’re above Kingman. I’m not sure if I ever got out that way, but it sure would be nice too.
Love these type of videos. The older I get the more I appreciate it lol. I’m a loner type of person and it’d be great for me except I don’t like bright places. When I’m in the sun floaters annoy me.
