Welcome to the basement! This channel is all about making, the thing I like to do most of all. Most of the time we are working on something 3D printing related, but you never know what might pop up. We currently put out one video per week every Wednesday and try to fit in a live stream here and there. Thanks for stopping by!
I've been going to MRRF for many years and I'm sorry but it was very under-whelming this year. It was great to see some of the creators (many past attendees were missing) like you and Chuck H, but over all it was not very good - many previous exhibitors were absent. We spent more time driving there and back (2 1/4 hrs each way) than we did spending time at the show. Last year was underwhelming as well (but better than this year) and this year's show was going to be our deciding factor if we return. We are considering RMRRF instead next year. I know it may be blasphemy as there is a certain emotional allegiance to having it in Goshen, but moving this venue closer to Chicago (like Schaumburg) would certainly boost attendance by exhibitors and hobbyists alike. I don't feel this show has been marketed very well and a lot of newer enthusiasts do not even know of its existence and why it's in Goshen. There I've said it - but I think it's been the elephant in the room for a couple of years now. No slam on the originators and organizers, but this show has not grown or matured with the maker movement and has lost all of its momentum. I thank them for their contributions but it's time to hand the baton to someone else and relocate or this show will continue to shrink.
Chris's Basement is here to share knowledge with everyone. Sharing knowledge improves us all. This includes everyone even the most closed minded individuals such as yourself.
@@ChrisRileyyou should've kept it like that. The moment you chose to promote a radical harmful leftist ideology you abandoned the premise of your channel, which is like you said, sharing technological knowledge. You should've stayed in your lane. I can't support your channel anymore. You're going to be fine, one subscriber isn't going to hurt your channel. Good luck.
Awesome to meet you at MRRF! I got an interview with you I'm putting up soon on the channel 😀 And I see my table there! And don't feel bad, I called the Trident a 2.4 in the West3D video I did while there 😂
11:00 PSA regarding 21030. that's just a part number. the viscosity or hardness of the grease is the NLGI grade, in this case "2" or "smooth peanut butter consistency". all the superlubes with part numbers 21xxx are the same super lube NLGI-2, just in different packaging (half oz, 3oz, tube, cartridge, packet etc).
Hello, interesting video. But I have a problem, one cable is connected to E0-Stop, that's OK, but the other is to PWR-DET, where I have a BTT BigTreeTech UPS module 24V V1.0 connected, so the connectors are occupied. We have a BigTreeTech SKR Mini E3 V3 board. Thank you👍👍👍
Yes, are you running klipper? That would be the only time you need to separate them. If you want to do this, you just need to find a set of unused pins and configure them how I show here. It doesn't matter much which ones you use as long as you update the config file.
Hi Chris, thanks to your's videos, i follow some ones to configure mi printers and it works every time ;). I'm switching to klipper and now i have a little problem because i cant find the serial to communicate with the skr mini e3 v2 and the btt pi v1.2. I already tested the bbt pi into an other printer and it show the serial. I think the problem is the board but its work fine with Marlin. I also try diferent configs and flashed them but nothing. Any suggestion? Thanks again to your exellent work.
Hey, thank you! This is always a tough one. I need to make a video on all the things you can do to resolve this. First thing, make sure your make menuconfig list the correct pins. Follow the comments in the config, let me know how it goes. github.com/Klipper3d/klipper/blob/master/config/generic-bigtreetech-skr-mini-e3-v1.2.cfg
@@ChrisRiley Thanks for your attention, I've already resolved the problem, which was the USB port of the board wasn't working (I tried it with other devices and nothing) and I've already returned it. I tried it with the original board (Aquila X2 with H32) and it works. I still have some configurations to do because there isn't much information about this card. Now I don't know whether to buy the SKR mini e3 v3 or the SKR Pico because I'm going to convert it to a corexz (voron Switchwire) any suggestion? Thanks again.
Could you please let me know how to hide the bed icon from the display? I have tried multiple times without success. I would appreciate your guidance on how to resolve this issue. Here are the details of the software I am using: Mainboard: Marlin 2.1.x Display Firmware: BIGTREETECH TFT50 V3.0.1
I am referring to the BIGTREETECH TFT50 V3.0 display firmware. The display currently shows a Bed Icon, but I need to remove or hide this icon because I am using a Chamber instead.
Hey Chris & Jackie, I missed the live stream, but it was great to see what you guys get so excited about. I'm living in Germany so have never been or seen anything like that. Thanks, Graham
depending on your extruder ramming may or may not work you need an oversize feed to the hot end or things jam, these were all the rage 5 years ago but not so good with slice engineering's mosquitto hot end
Do you know how to connect the CR-Touch to this board? The cable is black and has 5 pins. I see the 3D Touch slot but that’s only 3 pins. Where do the other two pins go? What are the pin outs?
To make it work, the 5 pins have to be broken out. 3 go to the probe/servo pins, 2 go to z min endstop. support.th3dstudio.com/helpcenter/crtouch-sensor-pinout-sensor-side/
@@ChrisRiley Do you know of a port/slot/location on the board that will give me 12/24v, like the power port, but I can turn it on/off via code in Klipper?
Really good video and some very helpful comments i just cant get it to work. when i have both camera plugged in and look at /dev/v4l it shows to cameras but when I go to add the second camera in on sudo add-usb-camera only shows one there. Possible a power issue?
Hi Chris & Jackie, So sorry I missed this, I've only just gotten the notification...😒😒 The place looks amazing, thank you so much for sharing this, Eddie says thank you too...😁🐶🐶😁 Hope you both have an awesome time... Please take care and keep yourselves safe... All the very, very best... Andy...
