The new one with all bells and whistles :) Thank you fir this one I was waiting on it! Or maybe the new voron tool changer although more expensive I think it has a lot more value and less hastle.
"Try to do a little bit of cable management, if you can" _just pushes everything in_ 😅 There is no fan inside control box to be careful for? If the tip of a filament is cut before feeding it back (is it that way?), I'm not sure how much tip shaping (if I got it right, in MK4 it includes cooling the nozzle) is _needed_ to get it out reliably? I have no Prusa, but the attention to details in MMU structure and assembly (and basically everywhere) seems to exceed expectations. There's a lot of work to get the MMU kit ready for printing, which I don't see as a bad thing 👍
I am very excited about the Part 3 video for the MMU, and hoping there is a thorough troubleshooting guide. I've got my MMU assembled but have not been able to get a fully successful print out of it yet despite my tinkering and troubleshooting.
Chris a great walk thru. This makes me appreciate my Prusa XL with the 5 heads and the Bambu AMS. Haven't seen the last part, but having the filament sensor seems to be an area the 3D Chameleon really lacks, and the direct communication with the printer. Love the part about the buffer magazines not being good to eat. That wiring in the control box looks too packed to be fun to work on.
I must admit that with the MMU3 for MK4 expected to ship any day, I kind of expected more from this video than just a repetition of some of what’s available in a more convenient format in the official build guide. But I’m sure some appreciate it…
I’ve done PLA and PVA on my MMU2 in the past it can do some Muti-Material, just had to be sure everything was very calibrated when it came to filament sensors and purge volumes.
