i worked and traveled around the world as a cook or chef, working on cruise ships, large stadiums as well as hotels and restaurants,
however every time i came to the Philippines on vacation i found it very difficult to return home to the UK, i had fallen in love with this beautiful country and the lovely people.
In 2018 i made the Philippines my home, and that is where my journey begins, i am looking forward to many happy years living here in the Philippine...but i have a lot to learn and see, so onward and upward

I hope that Annie made a quick recovery. Not a nice experience to go out for a meal and then bring it back up a short while later in the gutter outside. How embarrassing for the restaurant. Did they make any comment or do anything for Annie? Don't go back!!!
Glad to see Annie up and about. Nothing worse than an upset digestive tract. The cheese here doesn't want to melt. Tried making a grilled cheese sandwich at home and couldn't get the cheese to melt. Always enjoy your restaurant review videos. Cheers.
Hope Annie got better overnight. If a Filipino gets sick, it has to be bad. A lot of Americans I've met said Vikings was great. Went there last night and was a little disappointed. It was OK, but the only person who got his money's worth was the wife's son. He put the hurt on the ice cream.

Here's a fun fact for you to think about: From 2018-2022 here is the gun data 441 crimes committed involving guns. Let me brekdown the statistic: 332 - crimes committed using loose firearms, unregistered guns. 99.9% used by lawless elements and criminals 7 - crimes using registered guns. 4 are roadrage incidents, 3 are crime of passion 2 - crimes using government issued firearms involving government personnel (obviously unfit for the job) Looking at the numbers - there is a growing need for law abiding citizens to have the ability to own and train with firearms since lawless elements have no regard for the law. Remember, criminals do not look for confrontation. They look for victims.
We usually eat japanese food in Davao called Akiko restaurant at the back of victoria plaza, bajada. Its good japanese food and owned by a japanese guy. Im going there again for my holiday next year🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
There are few good japanese places to eat here. But this place was recommended in Davao fiid guide in fb. So went along to try .. Aikio behind Victoria mall is good I've eaten there....but orefere udon..did go to nutuaji at Torres behind Starbucks good food but my food cane first then Annie 29 minutes later sushi..mi was ramen and siba noodle salad....
I couldn't imagine myself in the position of the people affected by Katrina. The flooding looked really bad from the pictures you showed. Sending prayers and positive thoughts to everyone who has been affected by the devastation. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Davao Dave agree I've lived here years and I'm still shocked that flooding is so wide spread in rainy season...just no where for the water to go .and the after affects ni fiid illness closed school aitmroirts ports office banks . Omg I getting depressed . Sadens me ....thank you watching

My heart goes out for the people in the storm's aftermath. I would hope the American forces here help with relief efforts. Maybe do some good for a change. Weather wise, living in Davao is the safest choice. Have a good week ahead. 🍻
Agree Davao has rain but not the flooding rain and typhoon rain and winds .it took me a long time to get Davao sort in my radar..but really happy I settled here ...agree sad for those families and children affected by the water wind and lack of services
Over the last several years I've noticed a lot more interest in owning guns in the Phils.. Currently the Phils has a relatively low murder rate and NO school shootings. I hope it stays that way.
I was surprised today at how many people were applying to huy guns as they had there liences for firearms .. there were young adults looking at oustoks and feeling the weight ...scary for me
Filipinos have owned guns legally for decades, in fact before RA 10591, we had more gun rights than americans because the averge civillian here could own full auto firearms.

This is a very strange thing. 1. If someone wanted him dead they would just have shot him there and then. 2. A kidnapping? No ransom demand, the family don't have a pot to piss in. So who's going to pay any demand. 3. Maybe a hoax to boost his channel. 4. We used to say the butler did it but in the Philippines it's usually the wife. Time will tell.

Hey Garry, Deo here, we met on the 2Go ship from Davao to Iloilo last April (I'm the Italian guy with filipina wife and 1yo baby girl travelling around). Too bad to hear Mindanao is again on media with bad news. The region has a lot to offer for tourism but as long as this kind of kidnappings happen, although it might be not related to terrorism, tourists will keep away sadly. As always, Keep safe. My father-in-law warned me not to go to certain areas around Malita. So there are unsafe places all around Mindanao. But I'd still rather live here anyway. I don't go looking for trouble. BTW, the mayor of Davao married us yesterday so I'm here for the long haul.

So sad to hear people are being scammed like this. To have large amounts sitting in a private account does n´t make any sense. You should only hold enough in your account to carry you over a 3-6 month period, to cover your monthly expenses. Anything above and beyond can be parked in short term, low risk investments, if you really need to have access to larger sums of money periodically.
Evening Brian yes good points .the issue with rebuilt is they kink your accounts which people feel is easy for them...nut once kinked the scammers can access one account then move through the other accounts quickly removing funds savings etc ..so I said don't link accounts have one account current one account move monies etc..sad it's happening
Ok, have to make a comment on this one Garry. I also use revolut as a secondary account. The speed of transfers,virtual credit cards,share dealing,Etc. is fantastic. You are both right and wrong with the online support. The basic account only has limited chat but if you upgrade to a metal account you have online support instantly. In regards to depositing such a large sum in this bank...well maybe not...but keep it as a secondary account and I find it miles ahead of HSBC which is my main account. Just my two cents😅

I'm looking at other accounts as my accounts have been targeted over the last 6 months I looked at reviukte and found that it's a fast and quick service. How ever in uk there have been issues with reviukte and it's kinhing if service as reported over 199 people filed complaints regards kiss to there account One reason I moved away from reviukte .you seen to have a good stable set up

Dipulog Zamboanga del norte here in mendanao is very safe but if going Zamboanga city is take care of yourself because have a Filipino in or out from sabah Malaysia,jolo and solo red

Hi Garry, I hope that people heed your warning about visiting known dangerous areas in Mindanao. I'm about your age and have done a good bit of travelling around Asia, Europe and the USA using various modes of transport. Honestly I believe the whole world is generally not as safe as even 10 to 15 years ago. 10 years ago I would have had no hesitation about walking out in various Barangays in Cebu & Mactan, but this last 2 years I sensed a feeling of risk or danger. I am from UK and obviously know the areas to avoid or be cautious in the home country. Have had invites to Samar and Mindanao before but declined after reading warnings on government sites and blogs. Done a lot of trips to the States and not heeded warnings from my cousins living there, but I was lucky I suppose (and younger). Now age has crept up on me I ain't fit enough to retaliate so think more cautiously about where I step out. Am back home now in my old area and feel okay at night here, don't seem to get any stares here. Doesn't mean I am 100% safe but feels more relaxed. Anyway enjoy the rest of your stay out there and travel safe mate. Philippines does have some real nice areas

There is something that doesn't quite add up about this. The day before he did 9 live streams and complained about being threatened and kidnapped. If I was anywhere in the world and this happened to me I would be long gone.

He stated on his channel, that he found his wife in the Philippines and said he is lending money to a businesses to profit and earn interest. Maybe that triggered his kidnapping. Earning interest is frowned upon in some Muslim communities. One does not need to pay a dead person back...
