I just found your channel but im confused, why the hell do you have a thumbnail that says "StOP dOinG THiS" but you tell us in the video to do it. I'm glad you agree that leaning foward and holding onto the machine is a great way to do the abductor but again why would you have a thumbnail that says otherwise?

I got mine doing heavy squats and deadlifts which stinks. Now I need to figure out what exercises to replace barbell workouts with after surgery and healing.

I look at exercises a little differently. Does the exercise mimic real world activity, like rowing a boat for example? In that example the back is heavily involved hinging at the hip not just contracting the lats. In trying to describe this I run into a semantic problem: although the lats attach at the back they are functionally an arm muscle, they close the arm angle in relation to the body. Back muscles are the long muscles that parallel the spine that work to extend the back. Bending at the hip while doing cable rows makes this a compound joint exercise as most real world activities are. Enough said, the choice is yours. My credentials: I have a body and I use it.

23 years old, high level taekwondo athlete here…I just had open bilateral inguinal hernia surgery in fort Myers Florida by Dr Tomas doing the desarda no mesh repair….didn’t want mesh, heard lots of bad things about it… plus don’t like the idea of foreign. Objects…..I Had two indirect hernias and 1 direct. I’m 2.5 weeks post surgery. Doing a little better everyday. I just hope and pray my sports career isn’t over and I can make a full recovery…. Sucks that this happened to me so young… just want to be able to return to sports and intense exercise/ soccer.

It blows my mind that putting the alarm in another room fixes the snooze thing for people like you can't just walk back to bed. 😅 I always end up either back in bed or snoozing on the couch 😳

I don't have the flexibility to do the second exercise. I find that I have to use the first grip to get the weight over my head on the first rep, then I can switch grips to lower the weight.

Very accurate info. I don’t know why i clicked this after getting shredded doing exactly what this man said but here we are. Gained 25lbs of Muscle and went from 28% to 17% BF. Abs showing decently for first time ever 😂 (Not natural tho, i have to be honest)

I'm sorry, but this is not my experience. Yes, exercise is good. Surgery was very easy. Inguinal hernia rehab was very painful. On day 5, I'm hoping to walk a mile. Sitting and especially getting out of bed were painful at the incision 9 out of 10. Opiate drugs are miserable. Recovery pain is NOT a piece of cake. I love RU-vid videos but recommend that you don't use the information as your experience. Check it out for yourself. I am recovering as I write this and expect to be back to normal activities in 6 - 8 weeks.

@@angrydragonslayer not saying don’t work out… I’m saying that being on the machine does not inherently mean that you need to be working out to a degree that you can’t talk… some people might be doing a lighter weight to work on form, and if they can focus on their form while also maintaining a conversation, then that doesn’t automatically discredit the work they’re doing

I'm female and due to suspected EDS I've had one which lead to a strangualtion of the colon. It's a rare complication but it makes the pain of recovery from the surgery a cakewalk. I've never been in that much pain in my life, and if you leave it untreated it will kill you. So there's that!

You NEED to hear this ‼️ 🚨 If you’re able to comfortably have a conversation, you aren’t training hard enough. There’s a high chance you’re leaving way too many reps left in the tank and it’s affecting your progress. You don’t have to be pushing to failure, but you should be challenging yourself enough to the point where you can’t hold a conversation. While it can be fun to socialize, there’s definitely a time and place for it. During your sets isn’t exactly the place for it. Share this w/ someone that needs to hear it. 😅🙌

Just got mine removed yesterday. though it hurts really bad, the doctor told me to wait 4 to 6 weeks to start any heavy lifting. Full disclosure to anyone getting the surgery: You will feel the mesh for a while, while peeing and such Yes: It feels weird
