welcome to our C3D Design class, we talk all things C3D modelling which includes surfaces, Earthworks, drainage and all the quick tips that you might be struggling with.
Hi Lebogang, check your coordinate projection system (you can use the world coordinate converter to chck). you might have to swap the x and the y on your csv file or make the one coordinate negative and the other one positive. that should solve your problem
Hi Thank you for the informative video. Can you please illustrate how this information is used in Autodesk Civil 3D storm and sanitary analysis I.e IDF curves
Hi Mulalo, Noted. I think my colleagues in the Dams department will do more justice in explaining this method better than me. i will ask on your behalf
Hi All, I am working on one file that I got outside this course. It is an Autocad drawing, which I guess used to be a CIVIL 3D. It has all the elevations (txt), points (with E,N, & Elev) and contour lines. I am trying to follow the exercises in the course and generate the surface. I tried two methods: M1. Converting the standard points into COGO points, than creating the surface. M2. Unhiding the zz Ground Surface Layer Tin and creating the surface from the Drawing objects (lines or 3D Faces). Can anyone help me figure out the issue, since the civil 3D refuses to pick up the elements from which to build the surface? Thank you all!
Please don't stop making these my sister. You are on to something that could become much bigger. People relate more/get the most out of locally created content
