Thanks for watching! ❤️ Built time depends on how many parts are involved and how tricky they are to clean-up and prepare. I'm fairly picky regarding removing mould lines, so usually it takes between 30 and 60 minutes to build one small mini for me. Vehicles and other large minis might take 3-4 hours easily. This particular Terminator took around 56 minutes, but I tend to edit out all the boring things (mould line scratching, hole drilling, etc.), so usually the end result is 3-4 times shorter than the actual assembly time 🙂
I was led to believe they would be actual heroes, like Pedro Kantor failing that, I wanted the captain for his bits. nevertheless, the 4 I pulled (Marius, Acules, Flavian, Decian) should be fun
Yet again, thanks for watching mate! In my opinion this model is absolutely gorgeous, one of the most fancy models I have seen so far 😃 I grabbed it before getting the jump pack squad, which I wanna build too. Really like that they don't have those plastic stands anymore. 💪
@@canticles.of.crafting that’s the whole idea, all my units have some form of person touch, trophy marks, “joker” smiles on their helmets, graffiti, personal heraldry, and so on.
As a German, I had to look for synonyms for nostalgia myself and ended up with "Rückwärtsgewandheit" (the noun constructed from the adverb 'rückwärts' (backward) & the verb 'sich wenden' (to turn or to turn around) in the meaning of 'longing for the past') as pretty much the only word that could fit in my opinion. It is usually used in a derogatory way for people who heavily cling to the past. Mostly when politics or leadership in general takes an anachronistic development. Otherwise, we Germans just get nostalgic like everyone else. With one exception. For fans of the style and/or products of East Germany during the Cold War, the sound of "ost" for East is played with, which leads to "Ostalgie" as a special form of nostalgia (Nostalgie in German). Anyway, it's cool to see the content. Let's see when my number 500 from my subscription arrives.
Wow, thanks for the great elaboration on the nostalgia topic! ❤️ I will have to practice extensively that Rückwärtsgewandheit in order to be able to occasionally drop it in the future videos 😅😅😂
Eventhough he's sold as an AoS mini, all the AoS specific bits are actually optional to the build. If you leave those off, no cutting required, he fits perfectly on a 25mm square base. I'd like to think thats because the designers made him with Warhammer the Old World in mind aswell.
Oh, yes! In this economy a discount of 30-40% for the minis in a battleforce makes it as elusive as a tyranid lictor just before the Hive Fleet arrives 😅💸💸
They are blue plastic because GW's strategy was to attract new players and sell them minis that were easy to build and also easy to paint, i.e. just apply paint to the parts that need it (red lenses, brown leather, black gun, etc.) And you're table top ready!
Very cool captain. It’s not going to be easy to paint him after gluing it on the base and the easy build models are typically very tricky to go for sub-assemblies. Still, a very cool model 👍🏻
If my memory serves me, there was also a bit of a “chase” figure in the Death Guard wave. A standard bearer that was only available in one of those small paint box sets they occasionally release.
You are totally correct! Plague Champion Gangrus (dude with a wicked sword) was a secret model in Japan (not sure about rest of the world), and Pustus the Vile (dude with smoke and flies around him) was only available in the paint set.
That is one way of looking at it. I see it this way, though: Target sells this box for $64, and you get a whole Kill Team for this money. At the same time Target sells Into the Dark box with 2 Kill Teams, rules, etc for $160, which, technically is approximately same money for the minis if one excludes the rulebook and other stuff from the $160 price. So I wouldn’t say it is overpriced. Warhammer is an expensive hobby, mate 😅
Wow, I had to Google extensively for this one! Yes, I was aware of "Space Marine Heroes 2022 Set 1", as they called it on Warhammer Community website (www.warhammer-community.com/2022/07/29/space-marine-heroes-2022-the-blood-angels-take-charge/), because I have a sealed display of 8 minis in my collection. However, there was, apparently, "Space Marine Heroes 2023 Set 2" (not sure if it is the official name of it, because I could not find any mention of this one on Warhammer Community anywhere). This one is different from the Set 1 in terms of the minis, but, confusingly enough, it looks almost exactly the same as the first one - it is only the minis on the boxes that make them visually different. Both of those are not making Kill Teams though, I'm afraid. I found no indication of that anywhere, including the packaging of the Set 1 (that I have in my possession and intend to open on this channel in some future).
I think what they meant was more “space marines characters”, same with the “heroes” of the chapter which are more like the high command of the chapter. For a setting like warhammer it would’ve been better to call them space marines collection, or space marines characters…
I suspect our mate was referring to female Adeptus Custodes that are allegedly a must from Amazon for that new series with Henry Cavill. I heard some rumblings about that, but I don't know much more 😅 Would appreciate if anyone could explain me that drama in a small number of sentences 😄🙏
If I remember correctly there where 2 different sets in Series 2. One with ordinary Blood Angels, one with Terminator Blood Angels. The ordinary Blood Angels had 6 different Marines, the Terminator ones where 9.
Indeed, there are tactical Blood Angel space marines sold separately in a similar manner and packaging. I was always a bit uncertain if they were part of Space Marines Heroes series or not, but I could not place them anywhere else. I do have the box of them too, so I will figure out their Heroes-esness status before I make any videos with them. Stay tuned! 😉
Also got a complete box, planning on using my duplicate to try some diferent colors for my Blood Ravens color scheme, trying to get the right shade of red. 😬
I am not an expert, but I guess it depends on the people you are going to play with - if they are fine with that, you’re totally in the clear. Official tournaments might be another story, though 🤷♂️
Умение использовать клей, для меня - отдельный вид искусства. Каждый раз, когда я беру его в руки, это заканчивается плохо((. То пальцы от стола отдираю, то друг от друга😂.
That would be a problem for me with super glue too. However, (luckily for me) plastic minis are very easy to assemble with a special plastic glue (also known as cement). This plastic glue melts the glued parts and fuses them together on assembly, effectively creating one unified solid part out of two glued parts. It is also not so sticky for the fingers :)
Seems very much like it! Apparently, "[Ventrilokar] carry a sorcerous totem, that was built from the ruined corpse of a murdered Space Marine that is now nothing more than a puppet. On command, the dead Space Marine's corrupted omophagea can mimic the voices of anyone whose flesh the Nemesis Claws have the corpse consume". That is grimdark! 😅😅😅
