Hi, do you know if other AIWA or Sony remote controls would work with this unit? I purchased one and it will be arriving in a couple of weeks but it has no remote control. Thanks!
I wanted one of these when it first came out in the 80s. Was part of the mini compo systems craze back then and Sony managed to make a matching size turntable 😊
I’d need currently more than five of these to fit all my discs. 🤣 But even with four hundred discs, it must take time to find a particular CD’s, as it’s unlikely you’ll remember the position of each one.
I have several of these, many I bought on Kijiji for $20, and they all work flawlessly. On average I replace the batteries every 2 to 3 years, do a little cleaning using an air compressor to blow away some dust and away they go. Great little machine for bare floors or low pile carpet.

Which lights do you mean, those in the cassette bay? These are small LED stripes that I added by myself and connected in parallel to the capstan motor. That means, when a cassette is running in Play mode, the lights start.
@@kerni9940 yeah those lights. Sounds difficult to me. I might break mine if I try to do it. But, how about the light of the display? Did you add it yourself too?
@@vntgsoundz1456 As it is a European / Japanese combination of JVC RC-B1, I took the display from a European device (this is illuminated) and put it into Japanese boombox (display was not illuminated).
