I’ve just bought these exact lights off ecs tuning and I’m confused because the yellow led strip which I assume is for indicators is on with the brake lights and it’s using my fog and reverse light as indicator lights when I indicate doesn’t make sense I’ve matched all wires together and got it all hooked up please help me
You have to get it re-coded to European spec, and they won't let you do it in America. You have to go to a tuner shop that will do it for you. I had to call someone in Canada to get the actual binary code, and my GTI was recoded to think, that it's an R32 in Germany, so that's how I got it to work - over the phone.
@s2e130 0 to 60 MPH in 4.1 seconds top speed 167 mph power to weight ratio is very very good 👍🏻 all wheel drive and still practical 24 to 29 MPGs in Normal mode 18 to 21 MPGs in Race Mode
To show your FTP .... Turn on your lights and switch to high beam by pushing the stick forward ..... As a car enthusiast im surprised you didnt know that .... DOH!
The RU-vid algorithm sent me here! I was on the market for the Mk. 8, but VW announced that they are debuting the Mk. 8.5 June 26th. Once I have one I plan to do the stage 1+ tune including all the recommnded hardware from Unitronic. Only excpetion is that I am opting for the AWE touring exhaust system. Really clean set up you have!
I have had several over the years but consistently for many years now FS-Tuning Commonwealth Ave Orlando, FL IS MY GO TO! Owner Fabian Santos He also has his own racing team And will recommend what's best for the STREET most commonly! OR the track if that's what you are building!? Specialize in Volkswagen Audi Porsche Mercedes BMW APR DEALER UNITRONIC WEISTEC also They also work closely with BC racing. It's a local company that makes hand built. Coil over kits specifically for your car! My GTI Mk V has them and they WORK! 😄
Nice, I'm at 146k on my 09 Mk5 GTI MT. Just has the timing chain service done a few weeks ago. A week later I had a sound that sounded like something stuck in the tire or maybe a loose plastic underbody piece flapping in the wind. It went away but came back a week later and is more consistent. Sounds almost like a flat spotted tire. The sound goes away under acceleration and braking, but is most pronounced when under just engine braking. I don't hear it in first or second gear, but start hearing it when I push in the clutch to shift to 3rd. Haven't had a chance to put it on ramps and crawl under it and look. I have my truck so I've been driving that in the mean time, but it gets half the fuel mileage of my GTI.
Man you just spared me a ton of worrying..it was super helpfull..just stepped out it was my rear right window..reset it like you showed and it the key opened the windows again..voila
Could be compressure surge? I've noticed when deciding to go FAST in the GTI you have to COMMIT any fluctuating of the accelerator will cause chirping from the compressor side of the turbo! And the needle will jump around. So push hard keep it up when accelerating level off when reaching desired speed gradually😁 IN 6 GEAR ⚙️
Anytime you're not pushing the throttle it should be like negative 19 or 20 when you're at idle I have a cold air intake So that might mean it moves more air? Make sure because New South Performance MADE 2 different kinds one shows the inches in mercury Hg which is negative boost and then PSI which is positive Boost Most Turbo gages start to at 0.
@@gtiman67 I Turban, Gage shirts at -30 and ends at +30 in the car off at Chill’s at zero and the car is running at idle. It’s a in the negative and then again right at zero-ish went on throttle Max boosted 15 to 20 psi when I’m in fourth gear
I don't think he was able to get them on such short notice. The way I ended up getting in-and-out of there and happened quickly and I think they're called Carquest.
This video is 7 years old lol. I don't like cold weather either and in Southern California we're having rare miserable cold weather. Anyway, is that digital climate control on the left of your steering wheel OEM? Or is it a mod? I have a 07 GTI.
European GTI OE headlight array use Sylvania around 4700 Kelvin or the same used in Porsches ballast enables them to run and there's one on each side and they're not cheap that's the price we pay for having the great Bi xenon headlamps😎
Believe it or not it's an authentic Audi VW sport exhaust but it's married up to a 3" test pipe Come in directly off the Turbo 0 catalytic converter there is a full performance exhaust it's 3" then 2.5" all the way back and it goes down to a large "resonator" there's no mufflers at all but the resonator is what makes that sound so nice if you look at it I'll show you there's a large resonator under there it's perfectly cylindrical and that's what makes that sound so nice some guys think if you do away with the muffler it sounds nice if you don't have a nice resonator it'll sound horrible... So the resonator is the key I think, it's good to have the resonator but no muffler back there... just comes straight off the resonator right out to the dual exhaust
Believe it or not genuine VW/Audi sport exhaust made for the GTI & A3 (same platform) They remove all mufflers it comes only with a very large resonator which gives it that nice deep sound Also sounds great when paired with a 3 inch downpipe and APR stage K04 upgrade tuning!?
