Thank you for the review. If I may make a suggestion, why the soft flame comes out from the side, people who smoke pipes would prefer it that way. If the soft flame came straight up from the top, their hand would be holding it upside down to light a pipe.
i like the all acrylic version better. if you are unlucky enough to develop mold, you could just wash the old one out. the new one would be pretty much ruined.
Met Arnold yesterday and he hooked me up with some amazing cigars. I will be returning due to buying a home in Tarpon Springs. Love the shop! A huge selection of fine cigars, coupled with a very cool guy with massive cigar knowledge! I am HOOKED!
I've also had mine for a month and never had any issue with overheating, so maybe a defect as mentioned within comments. Overall love mine also in gold & perfect size for pockets.
Case elegance makes nice humidors but the only problem is their qc. I bought one that had cracked cedar interior and a misaligned lid. I returned it and the other one i got is perfect.
Hello, Over at Ashton Mazz says try the dollar bill test to check the seal. Basically open the humidor place a flat dollar bill half in half out ,lenght wise, in the humidor and close the lid. With a gentle and consistent pull. Does the humidor get pulled across a desk. If yes then the seal is good. If the bill pulls out then the seal is bad. This could be done at a cigar shop to test the seal. Any thoughts or experience doing this? Thanks,
This review is a bit disingenuous vis-a-vis the catastrophic failure of the seams. Did you reach out to the company? Is it a known/reported issue? Was it dropped hard during shipping? Did they offer to repair/replace? They are pretty well known for their exceptional customer service so I’m rather surprised that they did not address the issue. Perhaps unfair to the company to not allow them to provide an explanation or response for what may be an addressed problem or one-off problem
I met this guy about 15 years ago and he was awesome. Really nice guy. He introduced me to The Man himself, the Don of Fuente. I got a photo with him, holding the bottle I got at Casa Fuente. My ex wife got the photos when she stole my computer and laptop, but I smoked that cigar because I don't wait for nothing. It was awesome. As per usual with Fuente.
This is a great humidor to have on display. Office, home bar, den, man cave, etc. A great place to store and show off the best in your collection. So much nicer looking than the veneer shoeboxes everyone makes. The drawer is very useful for keeping accessories in one place and organized. Truth is, most people will eventually outgrow a desktop. Klaro now has tabletop cabinets, but I’m afraid even they seem too small. Keep all the $8-10?crap cigars your cheapo friends give you in a tupperdore. Use this for the best ones you buy yourself. The bottom tray is a pain. If it’s tightly packed, a few humidity packs thrown in top evens it out. There really is a niche for larger volume glass-tops that aren’t junk. Until then.. maybe Klaro can make a larger version with removable tray. Excellent company BTW
I had one of these. It’s beautiful and the construction was fantastic. I replaced the gel crystals with a 2 way bead. My biggest issue with it was if you filled it with a couple layers of cigars, the moisture would get trapped in the bottom. I put one WiFi hygrometer at the top and one at the bottom and they were dramatically different. And yes they are calibrated. And it really didn’t hold very many cigars. I ended up gifting it to my nephew and recommended bovida packs. He’s just starting out and loves it. Again, extremely nice for the price but I wouldn’t buy it again. I have the green military looking humidor as well. It’s even nicer but has the same humidity issues with the placement of the tray. Oh, and both are really annoying when you have to remove 50 cigars to refill the tray. If you buy one just make sure you rotate your sticks every week. Otherwise you’ll get wet cigars on the bottom and dry on top.
