Coppelia"'s music doesn't come near the brillance of Tchaikovsky's or the other Russian composers score. Delibe wrote this in 1917?! Such hokey music written after Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Stravinsky. I'll stick to the dramatic ballets where the music is phenomenal.
I read that ballerinas used to just dance like male dancers. Then Marie Taglione started the fad of dancing on toes. I don’t understand why ballerinas don’t dance on the balls of their feet? It would be as lovely, and they wouldnt suffer so much pain.
Benedicte is the most beautiful, and talented Ballerina. She has a wonderful physic and great legs. I have followed her career with the Australian Ballet and loved her performances.
Just went and watched the Renmark show, could I just say it was amazing 🤩 I couldn’t stop smiling and have been talking about it non stop. It’s so inspirational as a dancer myself to watch something that takes so much dedication and great work ethic❤

this was one of my favorite books as a kid, you have no idea how mad i was that the movies always cut out basically everything that made me love the book.

She says about Ghislaine Thesmar the thing I've been always feeling, how enjoyable it is to see a woman dancing (more than a dancer dancing)! But if I have to say 'Sylvie', I just say God because to me that's what she is.
