Please don't forget John Howard who played "Drummond" to a Tee. The other fine actors we also grew to love in that series were E.E. Clive, the perfect Man's Man, Beautiful , sexy Heather Angel and gorgeous, debonair Louise Campbell. How about John Barrymore as the "Inspector"...
It's so sad to hear these countless rude outbursts from Faye Dunaway to fellow colleagues. Mental illness is no excuse for poor behaviour and it's the sheer consistency of them all that paints a pretty bleak picture about her. I have always been a fan of her work, but as a person, not so much.
GEORGE SANDERS is one of my favorite actors of all time, and I'm a huge fan of any of his performances, including his Academy Award winning performance in ALL ABOUT EVE in 1950. The man truly deserves more attention from film fans of today. Oddly, I came to know his voice originally, as the voice of Shere Khan in the Disney cartoon version of The Jungle Book. Later, when I was much too young to have seen this film, I saw his performance in The Kremlin Letter. That film left an odd impression on me, but might have influenced me into choosing to pursue intelligence while in the military. It took many years later after I married my 2nd wife who's a psychologist to have brought this to my attention decades after the fact. We had just seen The Kremlin Letter and I told her about seeing it as a boy. That may sound like BS, but it's true. Anyway, GEORGE SANDERS is a phenomenal actor and a fascinating writer as well. If you've never read his autobiography, Memoirs of a Professional Cad, I highly recommend it. SANDERS is tremendously witty and never takes himself terribly seriously. Despite winning an Oscar, I still contend that he was often overlooked when acting accolades should have berm more forthcoming for such an engaging thespian. Mores the pity. Requiescat in pace, George Henry Sanders.
I always thought Faye was over rated as an actress. She definitely had star quality in her youth but a limited range as an actor. The actress whose most impresses me is Cate Blanchett.
So now we're all supposed to feel sorry for her because she bi polar. I've known a few people through the years including my sister and they don't treat people like garbage. No excuse Miss Dunaway. Bi polar means periods of manic behavior and depression not being a b#$@ch to people.
She lived a hard but adventurous life...she died 21 years after this interview by a leg infection after crashing a Three wheeler having fun...Awesome, Respect and Cheers to her
I saw rocky at a "halloween" party, of course, across the street from Covina park. I already knew him or saw him around before but never really talked to him . He was funny as fuck. Ithink he told us a real joke. I think he sold us a joint too and smoked it with us. I was dressd like a voodoo witchdoctor with face paint and all. I looked like ricky ricardo at the hospital when lucy had little ricky.
Does anyone else get Peppermint vibes from the young Ru? Or is it that Peppermint reminds me of young Ru? 🤔 😂 I think it’s mostly in their personalities, their manner of speech, and their elegance. There’s something “there”, with how they both carry themselves in such an elevated, classy way.
Hi. I don’t know where your info is from, but by all accounts that I have researched, they all indicate that Roy (aka Rocky) is her natural son with her second husband who is also named Roy Dennis.
I saw the movie years ago and knew it was based on a true story but this is the first time I’ve seen the real mom speak and she is definitely a strong person and she loved her son. It’s a movie that can bring a tear to anyone’s eye and the real life story is sad but also good that rusty had as good a life as possible. Sad he died so young.
