Just bought a VXD - awesome machine. Nice job on this video. My complaint is that I often have to re-power my audio if I had it going prior to starting the watercraft.
Thank you for the nice comments. I agree about the VX. It's probably the perfect line of machines Yamaha makes - just the right amount of features. And, I agree about the audio turning off. It's a pain having to turn it back on simply because you turned off your machine to jump into the water for 5 minutes and then are ready to go again.
@@MarkDHall 👍 I'm originally from Stratford Connecticut. Google my name. Dwight Bernheimer, a headline will come up... Mountain lions are NOT for Everyone... I think you'll enjoy the read. Thanks for taking the time to respond...
LMAO moron ran aground.......good luck with insurance claim......they'll want your plotter coords and sound depth....which obviously this guy had none of.......
Hey man no offense but do your research the Connecticut river from the Massachusetts line to long Island sound is 65 miles if you did 80 miles you went to up to Hartford and then back down to the sound . I know this river from Hartford to the sound all my life now 59 years of and my dumb ass just realized as I'm watching the video you ment 80 miles down to Essex and back to rocky hill.
Hey John. Thanks for watching and the comment. You're correct - the 80 miles was the round trip. I just punched the route into our GPS, and it shows one way is about 40 miles from the RH Ferry to the mouth of the river. We also gained some extra miles because we went back and forth between Middletown and the Haddam bridge to retake some videos when I realized my camera wasn't on. Whoops. How do you like the river? I've been boating on it for 30+ years, but you never know when you're going to encounter. There's so many logs and way more boats in the past few years.
Vacuum and fuel hoses are different. Vacuum will suck a fuel hose flat, they as you stated are capable of more pressure, but your pressure application is backwards.
We all assume the object was submerged. What if he ramped up over something theres bow damage to indicate it. Just saying its a theory that boat tried being the "general lee".
Lake George is just so relaxing. For the baseball fans. Go into glen falls and catch some minor legue baseball games. Its like time is standing still. So relaxing. Thanks for the vedio.
Thank you so much. That's how we felt when we visited - relaxed. I know I only covered the touristy areas in the video, but I figured there were tons of cool places to visit away from the touristy stuff. A baseball game sounds amazing to watch on a warm summer evening as the sun sets in the distance. Well, as long as the mosquitos aren't too bad. Haha. Thank you for watching and for the nice comments.
Hi - As of this reply, the ct.gov website (portal.ct.gov/-/media/deep/boating/boating_guide/boaterguidepdf.pdf) says the speed limit on Gardner Lake is 6mph between sunset to 8am, but PWCs can't operate past sunset. There are also some no-wake zones. For your second question, the ct.gov website (portal.ct.gov/deep/boating/certification/who-needs-a-certifcate) says a valid PWC certificate is accepted for non-residents from reciprocal states - NY, MA, RI or NH. The site mentions some exceptions like if you own property in CT or your PWC is registered in CT.
YeA its fixable lol i work at a boat shop doing those kind of repairs n to fix that u gota pull the motor and repair it on the inside and out side and cost about 20k to do it rite not including the parts ! But best to just get a new one cuz the insurance will wana total it cuz a hit like that there’s always alota liability but hay if u got 300k to buy a boat like that u shoul have enough to go get a new one😂😂😂😂
You truck looks great. Could you provide me information on the hub spacers you installed? I need to have 6x5.5 hubcentric spacer like the ones you installed. If you could provide me with the bore dimensions also. What I really need is the company you orders them from. Thank!
Question, I have a 65 impala and changed out the drums to disk, and my breaks are very hard. Bleed the system several times and till hard. thinking of getting this or should I check the vacuum pressure 1st?
Hi - Yes, it gave it a lot better throttle response in the mid to upper RPM range. That said, if you're not in the 3500+ RPM range much, it probably wouldn't help much.
@@MarkDHall thanks, i have a small solid roller 355 with comp ported afr 195s, the rpm air gap is matched to a 1206 but ive looked at that intake and its a little lower and where i shift around 7 it should help and fit under the stock z hood
@@jayleno5652 Yeah, they definitely help at the higher RPMs. Plus it gives it great throttle response. The downside is they're taller, and it didn't fit under the hood and we had to get an air cleaner with a smaller diameter to fit.
Thanks for the video. I just left a comment on one of your other videos but this is exactly what I’m looking to do soft top still on but down and just throw this over mainly to cover the door opening but just for occasional rain shower that way you can leave the doors off and the top down 90% during the summer good video thanks.
Thank you for watching, and I'm glad it helped. I love these tops because they're perfect for exactly what you described. They also work great in the spring/fall (here in New England) when it's chilly and the seats tend to get covered in dew. Nothing worse than sliding into the seat and having to go to work with a wet butt. Haha.
I just bought one of these only thing. I’m thinking now that I’m watching this is you can’t drive your jeep when it’s actually raining out my idea of getting this was to take my doors off but have my soft top on because it’s a pain to put your full factory doors on and off so I don’t know if it will fit over a sight top even just enough to keep just of the rain out of the open door areas. Wondering have you ever tried that with a soft top up and then just throw this on over the soft top just to cover the door areas?
Just replied to your other comment. I just replied to that one and apologize if you asked about the soft top there because I didn't answer your question if you did. We never put this top over the soft top because we found that this one worked good enough by itself. For this Jeep, I think it would probably be a little too tight because there's always a little space around the doors in the "normal-use" mode. I'm pretty sure for Matt's top in the other video it wouldn't work because it's super tight because of the extra lights in the front.
I feel really fortunate and blessed that my husband’s family has a small house right near the big park at Lake George. We go up for a couple weekends every summer and never want to leave. I’m from Washington state where there’s always mountains and beautiful scenery so a trip to Lake George makes me feel right at home. So breathtaking!
That is so awesome. When I was younger, my family would go on vacation at a different lake in upstate NY, and it was always so sad to leave. Have so many great memories from there. WA is a beautiful state. We visited a few years ago, and there was such a variety of things to see - from the beautiful rain forests that looked like nothing I'd ever seen to Puget Sound and the mountains and waterfalls in the Snoqualmie Mountains other national forests. That was another vacation that I didn't want to go home from.
Yup. First thing you learn when you get a full in board is DONT HIT ANYTHING. it’s never just a simple patch repair. Skegs, hanger bearing, shaft, and rudder are very expensive to replace.
I’m on the CT a lot w my boat. Everyone I’ve run into is usually helpful and happy. But I won’t hit the river until July due to the trees that float down river.
Same for us. There is just so much nasty stuff floating down early in the season. Unfortunately, a lot of debris can appear after a strong summer thunderstorm and a quick couple inches of rain.
Hi, I am setting my trailer for 2024 VX deluxe. You are showing measuring tape approximately 13.5 inch. Is this from lower edge of the bunks? (inner distance) Thank you in advance.
Hi - I apologize for the slow reply. The 13.5 shown on the tape isn't the distance between the brackets or the bunks. It was just a random from when he started moving the brackets around. That said, I checked the distance between the inner edge of the brackets, and they're different by 1" on the left boat and the right one, but the bunks are exactly the same distance apart. When I looked closer, I saw that the wood was mounted in totally different spots on the brackets (from the factory), and I wouldn't feel right giving you a number to use because it could be different on yours if the bunks are mounted in different spots on the brackets compared to ours.
