I have been making videos on RU-vid for a long time (since 2006), I have over 1400 online on this channel. All sorts of stuff, Mainly Derby and Derbyshire stuff but lots of other stuff too. Reached 6K subscribers on 14th August 2023. I use many different filming methods, Drones, 360 degree cameras, gimbals, time-lapse, Hyper-lapse, Then and Now, Dashcam etc. The early ones are lower resolution but a lot of newer ones are in 4K. Promoting Derby, Derbyshire and the East Midlands.

3 'take-aways' next to each other - reminds me of Princes Avenue (just had the bakery turned into cafe/bar). What is the new extension that was Midland Television? Looks like an old style hair dryer in the b/w window. I would defo have visited the Singer shop (we used to have one) and then popped into the fish & chip shop afterwards 😆
yes unlike in the 1970s with the sewing machine shop. It does indeed look like one of those old hairdryers, The shop did appliance repairs, you can see an upright Hoover there too.
My nan lived on Brentford drive my aunty still lives on brackensdale avenue I used to go to brackensdale grew up on Cheviot st for a bit then stocky all my teenage years. Beautiful footage absolutely hypnotic with the music 🎶
Thanks, Ive got loads of drone stuff. you may like this video I made in 2018 as I drive around : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-woBTR3kx61U.html

Looks like the roof is finished. Are the solar panels on the right end? Looks like the smaller part would have been the better position to catch the sun, but they know best. Does the sun go all the way around throughout the day, to finish off on the other side? Didn't see your 'friend' waving from the sun deck garden 😎😁
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Oh wow you actually have walked across it ! So was the canal still in place then or had that been filled in at that point?
I was going to say the main video was a bit trippy, but this one is deffinately so... Well I say that, but I've never taken anything, so I really don't know what trippy would be like... but this matches my imagination :)
The drone footage really helps to remind me of the bridge’s location. Must have been sturdily built to carry the horses and withstand the river in flood. Did the boats stay on the upstream side, perhaps rubbing against boards? Thanks.
Thanks yes I thought that my drone would help place it for people that don't really know that area. Yes the canal boats would be on the right side otherwise would end up stuck on the weir !
Wow, you did well spotting it was Kensington Tavern ! I didn't think anyone would work out where I was filming. Yes Ive used many layers of filters and offset timelines to create this effect, I quite liked it.
@@HaynesMusic thanks Ben, I’ve got loads to come. Just need editing together which is time consuming. I love making them, they bring the past to life. Until I made this one I didn’t realise that iconic weir is actually over 230 years old and a left over bit of history from the Derby canal, it only exists due to the canal !
Excellent matching up. Looks like all the buildings on both sides are all the originals in both photo's. What do the GOLD letters say 2 doors down on the right?
We are clearly devolving. I see old world architecture and remnants the drtails and craftsmanship blow my mind. We were a different human back then. Spiritually and physically. We sold ourselves out. To think merely 100 years ago what we had. Now our heritage is spat on by those only come to our land to take.
I am scared of this music they put on, mine is the exact same which means we may live near eachother!? Especially being in UK I'm always scared of this.
Very atmospheric, nice music. In 2019 we visited with National Holidays, Walked all the way up to the Cathedral but not allowed inside as there had been a power cut grrr.
