@@wellhouseleisure same as a RIB then and totally different to the way a rock n roll bed folds out with the seating front the part you lay on whereas the RIB type you sleep on the back side which is flat
@@kinross24 You sleep on the underside of both the RIB and Schnierle systems, and they are all rock and roll beds and we have called them R&R for 25 years
@@wellhouseleisure in the world of campervans a rock n roll bed is a different function and you sleep on the top side of those, which are slightly contoured.
@@kinross24 Sorry have to disagree, the "rock & roll" function works when the bed folds down or over, been calling them that for 30 years and sold a few thousand of them over that time.
I can't disagree, the price of base vans to us plus new model price increase, component increases have gone up massively since pre covid. We only make the same profit on a £75k van as we did as in 2019 when they were around £52k We sell loads of Japanese imported vehicles with new conversions at £25-£35k mark.
@@wellhouseleisure sorry it’s no reflection on you, I didn’t mean it like that. Just can’t believe how much vehicles and everything in general has increased. Always the middle class and down being squeezed. Lovely camper though great work.
Unfortunately, not being able to stand up is a deal breaker for me, as is no cruise control that I can see? Such a shame as I’m currently looking for a van and really like the layout/features, plus only live 20 mins away. The automatic diesel with cruise and 6 inches more headroom would definitely be worth looking at. I could have sworn the right stalk is the indicators on the Nissan - is it not wired up as the driver never used them once at any junction? 😉
Hi, the Japanese vans are always compact 1.7 wide 5.08 long and not as high as UK vans. The Ford Custom LWB (LUX XL) we do has the same conversion as the Nissan and can come with extra high top but its 5.4m long and 2.0m wide
We might have a LUX XL coming back in stock soon a 2023 model, easier if you drop us an email to info@wellhouseleisure.com and we can let you know when its in stock.
Not a fan of its looks it’s a bit ugly. Great that it’s ULEZ compliant. It’s got every thing you need and I’m sure it will appeal to some people. Gas locker did not look ventilated. Fan is a good touch. It will probably be compared with the Ford Nugget. A lot for a little van. If you don’t want the cool of a Cali this gives you a lot more. I’m sure the Ned Flanders of the Camping world will lap this up. How much is it?
Hi, Japanese base vans always look a bit different to Euro base vans, the gas is under the van and GAS low system and the locker inside the van had a vent. This one when it was done was £34k and was a 2012 base van.
Hi, here is the website link wellhouseleisure.com/stock/stock-list/1000-2000cc/nissan-serena-2-0-auto-78270-miles-in-pearl-white-2010-rear-conversion-ready-to-go-stock-3196/ and its £20,500 We have newer ones, lower mileage ones and different colours.
This was a Ford Transit custom we did years ago. We still build them new and if you go to www.wellhouseleisure.com you can see the range of vans we offer.
@@Boxerrich121 Hi, sorry no we are a manufacturer and only do the full conversions not individual parts. If you email us or give us a call. If you want bed only try CMC Reimo in Kent they supply and fit the Reimo 3000 system.
Nice campervan. I far prefer the manual roof and manual awning over electric ones (less to go wrong, and I don’t see any real advantage of electric ones). Personally, I’d rather not have the Wellhouse logo plastered over the front seats. It’s a shame Wellhouse can’t mimic the California’s built-in table and chairs. I’ve never seen any company copy that - do you know if VW have a patent on it? I am not sure if it’s the sort of thing that can be patented but as no one has copied it, that suggests they can’t.
The problem is that the set up costs for getting the rear door panel are huge. We have fitted tables and chairs in the past but customers prefer to buy there own but the VW ones look good. The logo is an option so its up to the customers to decide if they want them or not.
wellhouseleisure Thank you very much for replying. I didn’t expect you to. It is a superb conversion. May I ask one other question: are shutter blinds on the windows an option instead of curtains? I mean the blinds that you almost can’t see until you pull them across or down. Thank you.
Chris was one of the best top gear presenter's all they do now is smash up cars and talk crap Chris should be taken back on top man used to be a top show now its crap bring back old top gear presenter's ASAP
Ein schönes Fahrzeug, sympatisch vorgestellt. Aber der Elektrikschrank?! Typisch Englische Verkabelung. Irgendwie Kabel miteinander verbunden und in den Schrank geworfen.
I have had Fords from a Popular100e to a Mk2 Galaxy with a lot of Cortina's in-between But never a Ford Transit Campervan. Still you never know I might win the lottery lol.
