To set up 3 follow-up questions for your NPS rating question, you can either: 1) *Create a Group with Skip Logic*: Group the 3 follow-up questions together and apply skip logic so the group only shows based on the rating given. 2) *Apply Skip Logic to Each Follow-Up Question*: You can also apply individual skip logic to each follow-up question so they appear based on specific rating responses (e.g., if the rating is 7-8, show Q1; 9-10, show Q2, etc.). I am managing forms for mailing lists in Outlook I have two forms, one for subscription and the other for unsubscription where emails are among the data collected. I want to automate this process how can I simply do it? so each time I want to send an email I get an updated mailing list
Hi, so in this instance, you have two KoboToolbox forms, one for subscribing, one for unsubscribing. When you send an email, do you want to go to a KoboToolbox form and download a list of 'current' mailing subscribers, so a list that has had 'unsubscribed' emails removed from the 'subscribed' list? If I've understood you correctly, it's most likely not possible to do this using only KoboToolbox, you most likely need a second software for post-processing, like a database or spreadsheet of some kind. Do you use another software in tandem with your KoboToolbox forms?

On number 4, it would be better if you could select the Year, month and day separately. Current problem is that you can't select the date without scrolling backward month by month.

Is it possible to make the data collectors to see one survey in their app and not all the questions from previews survey? and still link to parent data and other child data?
Is there any way i can add description of each choice or hyperlink choice in anyway? I think hyperlinking is impossible. I also know that the only way I can add description or note to a choice is through adding it as a picture. But I was wondering if this is possible? please let me know as am on a crunch deadline and out of options really :/
Please do use the settings to slow my speaking down, and please do use the pause button to pause and then re-watch sections that you don't quite catch or understand the first time. I try to speak and teach at a steady pace in videos, as videos can be sped up, or sections can be skipped or re-watched for sections that you don't want to watch or sections you need to re-watch to fully understand. Hopefully this helps explain my pace :)

Hi @sababarri4645 you're very welcome! Can you explain a little bit more about what you mean about 'hiding' the previous surveys from the new one? Is it that you only want the data collectors to be able to see one survey in their Collect app? But you want the new form to still link to the data in the old form?
I need to apply the choice filter that allow me to pick the choices from previous questions labels, and only for the questions that have a definite value. For example: the question label will be added to the choices if we answered "yes" to this question
Hi there! In both these cases, you're attaching an external .csv file to your form/project, so in that way they're similar. However, they have different functionalities overall. For pulldata, it is a calculation that can essentially do a 'vlookup' or a lookup from a data table. So you won't be pulling in choice options from a pulldata calculation, you're usually checking something like, "If they answered X, what's the corresponding Y piece of data?" However, when select_one_from_file is used, it's a question type (not a calculation) that goes to lookup question choices held in an external file. Not sure if that helps to clarify?

Hi! I think there's a mistake with the constraint for the second method: constraint is less than 200, but you ask them to input 999 if they don't want to answer. Your current constraint wouldn't allow for a 999 value, no?
Hi thanks for your message! If you take a look at the full constraint, it looks like this: .=999 or (.>0 and .<200) In this constraint, we use an 'OR' operator in the middle, so the constraint accepts two cases, it accepts if someone enters a number less than 200 OR it accepts the number 999. Hope this helps to clarify!
Hi Janna. l followed through the tutorial and in my survey instead of displaying the linked data it writes false, and it doesn't show anything on select one and select multiple questions...what could l be doing wrong?
Hi, the process is so detailed that it could be any number of steps that could have a mistake in them. Can you go back through the tutorial, following along with your filled-out XLSForm and just make sure that each step is followed exactly? Little things like capitals, spaces, any extra letters/punctuation can all make a difference. The other thing to do is just to troubleshoot by getting a very simple version to work, so a form that only has a single question in it, and getting that to link. The example I give is a more complex example to show some more of the complexity, but in order to get it working the first time, try to just link a single question form. That will help you narrow down where any mistake might be!

I try to keep all the steps in there, but need to keep moving somewhat quickly, but I've found the benefit of video is that many people slow the speed down and re-watch sections, so the video can hopefully serve both beginners and more advanced users. Hi there! You can add multiple 'parent' files, you would just need a separate 'instance' for each parent form in your child form XLSForm. Does that make sense?
