We just really wanted to put $$ into that M120 V12 some and make that exhaust really sing. And then that TT project is really got a hold of us so we just had to let go of the 190e
Man, ill still be watching whatever you do. Love the vibes, good to see some of the same minded gen xs into somewhat foegotten cars from the other side of the planet. Shout out from Brisbane🎉
Hello 190e seller here! I’m happy that this car wasn’t actually salvage and that you were able to make a profit! I hope the funds from this car help your channel grow! 🙂I received this Mercedes from a person who could not take it with them where they were going. I’m more into Japanese cars and don’t have experience with repairing Mercedes. I love watching your videos, keep up the good work!
Brandon! Was great getting to know you and thank you 🙏🏼 for this steal! When we refer to the “previous owner” we are talking only about whomever smoked in that car, never throwing shade your way 👊🏼🤝🏼
Apart from speed bumps, potholes and cross winds, there is nothing I can think of that I dislike about my Smart Fortwo 71bhp with the Passion trim. For what it is, it’s an exceptional bargain and an excellent car. It’s not as large, refined or comfortable as my E-Class estates were, but it’s a very balanced compromise. They are ideal as temporary, second/third cars or as an urban car.
@@AutoAfflictedbro this changes everything 😭 I was already going to buy the hedgehog evo 2 kit because the riezene one is like 20k but I never knew what I wanted to do engine wise thanks subbed
I currently have a m103 stripped apart with tons of temotorspots parts on the way to efi and turbo swap, so excited to find this thank you for this awesome series
Beautiful filming of this Ferrari 308. some of the best I've have seen. The color grading is spot on. This is an iconic car so perfectly designed. Congratulation to you for making your dream come through. And thanks for telling us your story. Back in the days in 1987, I was once offered a ride in a Ferrari going fast up the Monte Bre Mountain i Lugano, Switzerland. I loved it. The speed and balance in the tight corners up the mountain was like a pure racing car.
@@AutoAfflicted It was epic for sure. I was 22 years old back then, and the owner even offered me to take the Ferrari for a ride by myself. I didn't bring my drivers license, so he took time out and took me for a high speed ride with me. The sound of the open gated gear changes combined with high reving motor was incredible. Thanks to the kind owner in Lugano.
Thank you 🙏🏼 have you seen the most recent video ? Shows the final status of the car fully turbo charged ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kKxjyTfzjcY.htmlsi=URVvQdLFPZSbc015
Just changed my airmatic suspension to conventional suspension. Mine is S350 but all items inside already changed to AMG S55. Next project is to change the engine. Honestly i love this car and less giving me problems. Thanks buddy for your video ... Well done.
new subscriber glad to be here, ive just bought my 1st Mercedes ,a W126 280SEL straight six i love the car its cool, lookin forward to watching previous videos
Inherited a D2 Audi A8L from my uncle. Ebony Effect Pearl, progressive-rate sport springs (28-30MM drop) with Bilsteins, Hypergram 18" x 8.5" wheels that match the paint, tinted windows, rear muffler replaced with dual in/out 2.25" stainless muffler & tips, little trunk lip spoiler...my older kid is now driving it and most all the consumable parts are replaced (whole list) and it is reliable. People really like the car, ask questions. In fact, two GSP troopers pulled us over (going from Barksdale AFB) just to check it out
@@AutoAfflicted It's jokingly called "The Slav Mafia Machine" by the younger one (who is half via momma)because it is exactly the stereotypical car for them...
That’s funny ! These guys hired my car for what they called a Slavic gangster short - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oyvCNPim7ho.htmlsi=aF7wC3olrkfJrkmC
@@AutoAfflicted funny thing? One kid looks nothing Slavic, but is a military analyst working with groups in DC. Other one? It's painful how Eastern European they look-
Yes, end of an era, it did go to a mid twenties guy so maybe it will spark new interest among the youth… on the upside the CLK 55 is really cool and I just got a ‘95 CL600 to fill the void of seat belt presenting Sacco coupés
@@AutoAfflicted awesome man. I love anything v12 related. I hope you give it a louder exhaust. Lol. I had a clk430 and absolutely loved it bit i hit a deer and it was written off
So far so good on the content These cars are a death by 1000 cuts, due to a lot of deferred maintenance by previous owners. You would be better off addressing what needs to be fixed as you discover it, even being proactive with the common issues like hoses and replacing the accumulators. Also, grab as many M120 parts you can get there was parts we couldn’t even get at Mercedes Benz when I worked for them. The parts were “unobtainium”
I don’t recall the inner diameter but we were referring to the Mercedes hose which has to hold 3000psi. We capped off our “dead end” hose which had failed at the crimp. The cap we used was rated to like 13,000 psi or more I think
Oh yeah if you can't afford 200k new vehicle why would you judge the suspension lol just a joke if you are bottomfeader type just get coil springs all around for like 600$ set of four lol I just got brand new second hand for 300$ set of four and about 2hrs of labour's after zero issues with suspension what a joke those people
Whata he is talking about lol have had roughly seven w220 from s430 up to s600 face-lift the most reliable is s500 pre face-lift 2000to2002 lol try and buy w221 for 1800 and drive it or w126 or even w140 what a bs as I personally owned w126 w140 w220 and w221 the most reliable the most cheap to maintain s class would be w220 the best performance and fuel milage with low cost maintenance is 2002 s430 models pre face-lift less glitches lol with stereo system 😅 just a joke how they negatively saying w220 not good siting in 200k vehicle bought for 1800$ and complaining 😅 just a joke
I did change pulleys and had an SRS issue, but that got fixed. Ill keep watching you guys, you make sense and I believe people can understand you because your not killin em with tech talk. Keep up the good work.
Did you change your pulleys due to age or the fact that now only 6 rib belts are available? Our ate a serpentine belt last week and the belt was new .. we may have a bad pulley
crushed the video format, much love to you guys! Keep on Benz'n! Sharing ideas is the quintessential component to this community that makes the love for these cars that much more possible... cheers
Yes you need a naturally aspirated V12 and $12,000 exhaust to get the crazy V12 zing .. hard to get more sound out of these twin turbo version even with mid exhaust megaphones 📢
🙏🏼 thank you, we’re just trying to bring the fun to everyone. It’s a blessing to have a shop space, a retired guy and a guy who’s convinced the universe to provide cheap and interesting cars.
