You gotta trade up those risky business hand covers to the dark blue 7mil flavor. All the turbo-clock pre-lubing sensitivity of those baby blues but far less chance of glove explosion. 🧤

I got those, I like the thin ones, usually I put mechanic gloves over for durability

How bad is it for the turbo if you didn’t prime it before start up? Car sat over winter and I cranked it a few times before starting it and then let it idle for about 5minutes before shutting it off but my 2871r sounded very noisy during idle

Well, the turbo spins at super high RPM so even a short duration of running dry can be hard on it. You would want to at least make sure that your oil delivery line is primed to know that the turbo is getting lubed. With a new turbo often they probably should have some sort of assembly lube, but always good to get some more in there if you can.

@@AutoAfflicted thankfully I did crank it atleast 4-5times so hopefully it didn’t go to long maybe a second or 2 before it got oil

@@clearcube5489 tbh not sure to be on the safe side I ordered a whole new core from garret and haven’t looked at the old core. It maybe okay and just was hitting the back plate a little
