Everything in this video is so trueeee 😮‍💨 Some people say you need all sorts of equipment, but clearly, there are other ways to achieve great detail in your shots. You're absolutely right. Astrophotography can be really confusing. No matter how much I prepare, something always seems to go wrong during my shots🤣 It's awesome that you're showing people that astrophotography doesn't have to be so difficult and that there's always something you can do to improve your captures. 👍

I am in the market for a Duo. Was about to pop for it when I heard about this one. My question.....With the duo if you use filters that are not great for guiding you can still opt for another off camera scope. Can the Air allow this also?

I’m just beginning in the hobby of Astro photography. I have Vespera pro and also a Seestar S 50. I do not have the room for a desktop computer so I guess I’m not going to go for a laptop computer. But have no idea how much memory, processing speed, and Storage drive I would need to feel comfortable with making the shots to process. Looking for recommendations. Don’t care about the price, but I wanna make sure that I have enough room to do it with no problems. Would be using PixInsight, Photoshop, and infinity two. Any suggestions what I should do. Looking for some input because I know you guys are professionals out there and would like to know your opinions what you would feel comfortable with.

That looks like a great camera, for begginers (and experienced as well). I wonder if there's a great difference between the cooled and uncooled version I know cooled it's always preferable, but the uncooled is a bit more affordable. A comparison would be good, say, 5min subs with the cooler on and off.

Just to let you know you don't need to manually point the Seestar S50 telescope north before turning it on. The Seestar S50 is a smart telescope equipped with a built-in GPS, electronic compass, and automatic star alignment features. Once you power it on, it automatically determines its orientation and location, so you don't need to align it manually. After powering on the telescope, it will use its sensors to determine its position and perform an automatic star alignment, which allows it to accurately track and point to celestial objects without needing to be manually aligned to the north.

I have the s50, easy to use,j ust get it level as possible, then zero issues. Software is updated pretty regularly. I had my s50 for 4 months, figured it would be a pain to setup. Finally, out in desert camping, decided i would try to use the s50. 15 minutes later was taking photos of moon, nebulas, galaxies, etc. Dwarf 3 has some nice features, will be seeing how compares to the s50. The s50, edged out the dwarf 2, so should be interesting.

Still feel Dwarf 2 owners where ripped of big time for 12 months no update ar all with the apps. To keep the peace, bought out a big update to the app, but only a few months before D3. And another update when D3 was announced, so seems they did this as a hook for you to buy the D3 They are far to slow bringing out updates and not regular like the other smart scopes and Dwarf Labs have still not updated the data base, still 500 objects. No they crapped on D2 owners for most of its lifestyle and dought D3 will get any major updates till D4, unless D2 was just an experiment hense lack of updates fir pretty well most of its life. They hold the record for least updates ever in any cycle of smartphone

My big grip with Dwarf Lab is for 12 months kept the buggy app, which was poor, gave us no updates, then not long before the D3 decided to update the app to cater for the D3. FEEL RIPPED OFF as they are so slow in updates, won't get a massive update possibly just before D4 comes out. Every other smart telescopes have regular updates, which is needed, but Dwarf labs dud nothing for D2 owners for 12 months, the slowest updates of anyone. And only got the atlas now. One thing that is still very poor is only 500 objects still in the data base. All the other smart scopes do far better than this with regular updates, bar Dwarf Labs. Seems they forgot about the D2 on release and did nothing for us and decided instead ti bring out a new one and updated the app as an incentive buy THE D3. I feel if it was not for the D3 release may still not have got the star atlas and new features. The only update we got for the whole of D2 was not long before D3. It sucks they almost neglected the D2 for it's whole lifespan and expected us to use a poor app, a rip off I think

Hello there and thank you for the helpful video!! I'm using a Celestron 130 SLT and the SVBONY SV705c with Sharpcap. I set my exposure time at 10 maybe 15s most and Gain settings at almost 500...! I see you are using completely different settings for gain and exposure time. Have I been doing it wrong this whole time?
@ScottCastrophotography
@ScottCastrophotography 22 дня назад
Gain can reduce the amount of contrast in your deep sky objects, you should generally not go above 200, especially in deep sky imaging. If you plan on taking exposures longer than 180s, you can Lower the gain to 100, and if you want to take less than that, I'd still say 200 is the max gain you should use, especially for a Planetary camera
