I just do one at 250 or so in a smoker until it's like butter all over. Or about 210°F internal mostly everywhere. I would imagine that contraption you have would be hard to maintain even temps for 12-14 hours.

It is called Sous Vide a slow low temp cooking. I have tried it a few different ways but found for me this is the best result. There is more than one way to skin a cat lol. There is a tiny piece left for me to eat for lunch today so everybody loved eating it. My contraption works just fine. Cooking does not need to be perfect but fun. I cook allsorts and just guess my ingredients and most come back for seconds or take some home. Thanks for watching and a happy new year Kevin. Regards Rik

Yeah when my surgeon suggested injections I was like hell NO I'm on 40 tablets a day could hardly see or walk. I thought I was dying and I'm sure I was. I had tried Keto diet but I was too addicted to carbs I was hungry all the time. I though being hungry was normal. I did a typical male thing I threw all my meds in the bin. Either the meds are going to kill me or this carnivore diet will. In my opinion I had nothing to loose. I never understood Lyn when she said I'm not hungry anymore after making something to eat or just eating only a tiny serve? I was snacking and eating full meals all day long. It's lunch time I have had coffee and not hungry. I had no idea that craving food all day was not normal. I eat one meal a day and a snack. I had no idea I could survive on so little food. I have one small bowel movement a day. I was sick for 6 weeks on carb withdrawals also called Keto flu. After that it was smooth sailing. Living without hunger pains is amazing. I'm still on pain killers but feel great. Down from 150kg to 100kg or less now. No more XXL clothing just L size. I was accidentally putting on my sons clothes 😂. Most clothes are donated or in the bin. Moving around is much easier now. I'm glad the injections worked for you but I was in a deep deep hole I had to climb out of. My blood tests are now exceptional for the first time since I was a young man. Starting to post again on both channels. Looking forward to returning to Philippines. I honestly didn't think I was able to return for a while. You take care buddy. 👍Regards Rik

Yes 100% Filipino but there were some great grand parents from memory that were different ethnicity. But she was not sure if they were in her blood line or not. I guess not. There is a different tribe in Philippines as well and I've seen them. They look more like Negro with darker skin and curly afro style hair. Not sure where they would fit in? We will do another DNA test soon but with a different company and including our daughter to see how much DNA she inherited from us. Thanks for watching. Rik

Dear sir, we have purchased a hollow block machine and we are having problems. We hope you would be willing to help us. It is impossible to raise the blocks when all four banks are full. Barely able to raise it when the mixture is only in one bank. Is there a trick to get the machine to raise the blocks? When we are able to force a block up it crumbles in places like the edges and corners. We would really appreciate your feedback.
@RikBor
@RikBor Год назад
Hello I will do my best. But it is normal to start. To start with when the machine is new or not used in a while the mould is a little rusty and the blocks will stick. The mould needs to be almost shiny in appearance. When I first crank up my machine I put in the pallets and fill it with arrogate and turn on the machine keeping it wet. This will help with preparing the mould surface. Keep doing this a while until perfectly clean. Rubbing with sandpaper is too hard. Mount your machine on 2 long pieces of wood extending to the back as far as the lever does. It will help keep the machine stable and help support the machine when you pull the lever to exit the blocks. Also if you compact the blocks for too long they get hard in the machine so you need to learn what is a good length of time to vibrate the machine. Cement when wet is slippery and I used more cement than most and I'm glad I did. None of my blocks have cracked during earthquakes but some I purchased did 😢. Lastly keep the machine well greased and lubricate all rubbing surfaces. I covered mine in sump oil to help lubricate it and keep it clean. Cement does not stick to oil. That is why I paint my form with sump oil before using. It makes removing form work much easier and it does not affect the concrete. I hope this helps. You can always contact me here. facebook.com/alven.bor?mibextid=ZbWKwL

What best additives in DOING CHB?
@RikBor
@RikBor Год назад
I did not use additives as my high cement content will already waterproof the blocks. If that's what you are talking about? Just sand, cement and water.

Just wondering if the carnivore diet is OK for people with high blood pressure problems? 🤔
@RikBor
@RikBor Год назад
Well like I said in the clip I took it upon myself to do this without medical advice and it's up to the watcher to make their own decision. My blood pressure was at times over 160 and now around 140. I don't have that thumping in my head anymore and a big reduction of heart palpitations almost zero. I think when I'm a bit further on and start doing some exercise this will improve even further. super impressed, so what exactly is the carnivor diet
@RikBor
@RikBor Год назад
Thanks for watching. I hear about it 30 years ago and thought the guy was crazy I was only a young man. Now I love it. You only eat animal protein. I eat Beef, chicken, pork, fish, and also things made with animal protein such as full cream milk, cream, cheese, eggs, butter, etc. You eat basically zero carbs so you don't eat any food with sugar, processed foods,bread,pasta,rice etc only animal protein. You think it would not work but I too was super impressed. I suffered from hunger pains my whole life. I was always hungry no food was safe. I did my best to control myself but I was not very successful. Suffering chronic pain I would resort to depression eating hating myself afterwards. I hardly ever get hungry now. I eat one meal a day usually around lunch time and something smaller later in the day like a snack like some cheese and beef jerky. I have learned that there are many foods I knew nothing about. You get sick some only a few weeks but I was sick for 6 weeks. I use heavy pain killers for multiple spinal injuries and have suffered withdrawals many times. Carbohydrate withdrawals are very similar and it also feels like a flu. But after that you feel better all the time. I have no more high blood pressure and I was close to diabetes and high cholesterol but I don't have any of those problems anymore. I will never go back to eating a so called balanced diet or use the food pyramid that was invented to sell certain foods. The pyramid was never for our health. Look at the rise of obesity since they started teaching to eat those foods. I'm carrying on here lol because I'm healthier and even less depressed. There are many channels with carnivore information it's how I learned. I had 2 mince and liver patties today and just had some yogurt and cream. That's it for me today. Make sure it's yoghurt that has no additives. I just found a shop selling smoked dried beef it's so so yummy especially fried with eggs. That's a lot of information but I'm happy to answer more questions you may have. PS sex is better too being lighter my wife can put her arms around me. Getting about is easier too. I'd like to loose some more weight but apparentlythe last bit is the hardest. Maybe 5 to 10 more kilos I'll be happy being under 100kg. I'm the same size now as I was in my early 20s. I'm sure I'll reach my goal in a few more months. Make sure it's right for you talk to your Dr first. I am not a health advisor just sharing my personal experience. Take care.

I've been screamed at by an old lady and her friends for cleaning g up the lawn clippings that got onto their patio, so now when it happens I don't even bother. if you want them to go onto your property and clean up, you have to ask them

Why would it collapse? 2 years now. A circle is much stronger than a cube. I have seen much weaker leach drains in Bunnings than a 200 litre drum. It may need to be emptied one year when crap builds up but that's about it. PS digging up is free.

generally what size were your columns and beams?? and what size hollow blocks did you use internally and externally ...thanks.
@RikBor
@RikBor Год назад
We're? They still are. Posts come in different sizes. The smallest internal posts are 250mm X 250mm. The outside posts are 350mm X 250mm. The corner posts are 350mm X 350mm. The beams are 250mm wide and 450mm high not counting the interlocking slab at 100mm making a combined hight of 550mm. Walls are double blocks 100mm wide each with a 50mm space in between. This makes up the with of the posts and beams. No posts or beams are visible. Some walls have the 50mm cavity filled with concrete. This is to build up core strength. Rebar was 18mm and 16mm a majority of the time. Some 20mm was used also. In the last earthquake multiple local homes were badly damaged but our house has not sustained any damage. 200 meters away the road was torn open it was a 7+ quake. Now we have a new roof and 6mm glass. I hope next time less damage. Rik
@bepitan
@bepitan Год назад
@@RikBor thanks for the info, very useful!!...yes i thought your structure looked pretty serious ...local building practices normally entail the thinnest hollow blocks and columns the same width which all works fine until the eathquake comes along....and good to see somebody using cavity walls, could you buy ties there??
@bepitan
@bepitan Год назад
surely the 350x350 internal corners must show somewhere ??
@RikBor
@RikBor Год назад
@@bepitan No ties here but both walls have horisontal rebar every 3 coarses that go into the beams. Clever you noticed the corner post dimensions. The corner posts are like a V shape with a 100 X 100 notch so the ends match the walls. Small post have 4 x 18mm rebar the wall posts have 6 rebars and the corners have 8. My wife asked a local builder what he thought of our house he said its strong enough for 10 floors 😂. All workers complain about how hard the hollow blocks are and the concrete structure. I provide them with hammer drills and diamond blade saws. No chipping out concrete with a hammer and nails in our house. Concrete is standard concrete mix 1 cement 2 sand 3 aggregate.
@bepitan
@bepitan Год назад
the problem with presenting a big chunk of underside roof that exposed and elevated to a typhoon ...it gets under and pops one panel out and that gives it a way in to take the rest of it away ...i would box in that top apex triangle with structure and hardiflex otherwise its probably going to happen again..typhoons if anything are going to get more frequent and stronger.
@RikBor
@RikBor Год назад
It was closed in at the time. Sadly my wife wanted to change the roof design against my advice. 2 months after the change the storm hit and the reason we lost the roof was poor workmanship. They used secondhand screws and they did not have enough screws. My wife learned a expensive lesson. Leave the design and building to my husband 😂
