My name is Sandy and this is my small Automotive How To Channel where i record myself working on my family’s cars. Hopefully you will follow me on my journey and we can learn something along the way. I want to keep the channel relatable to the average person working on their car at home with only basic hand tools and only specialist tools when required.
@@Lynne572 No problem, hope the video helped you out 👍 I’ve got a Picasso Playlist if you want to see other jobs i’ve carried out on the car 😉 Thanks for watching 👍
@@CarlosBerge-jw3fn Glad to have helped 😎 That video was difficult to film, because i couldn’t work inside the door and film it 🤷♂️ Don’t forget to check out my Patriot Playlist 😉
Thanks for the video. One short question, I see that when you returned the cylinder, the protective rubber of the cylinder got a little wrinkled. Is that a big problem??
Hope the vid helped 👍 Yes, definitely un-twist the rubber boot. I straightened mine out by just feeding in a small terminal screwdriver in between the boot and the piston to re-position it 😉 The rubber boot is there to prevent dirt/moisture ingress, so is important for the long term operation of the calliper. Regards Sandy.
Hello. I would like to ask you this. I have bought a 2016 Citroen C3 1.6BlueHdi 99ps, 5 speed manual with 105.000km on the clock. When I started driving the car, the clutch felt very stiff. I changed the whole clutch set (LUK parts) as well as the clutch pump, and only the first day the clutch was quite lighter. After the second day, the clutch feels almost as hard as before changing it. Well, it has an initial soft feeling for the first 1/5 of the clutch travel and then it starts becoming very stiff to press. And of course, when lifting the foot, it depresses with the opposite firm way. It actually hurts my left foot, where I press the pedal. Should this be normal? Does this car has or must have such a stiff clutch? Thank tou. Vassilis
Hello Vassilis. Definitely not normal. We currently have two Citroens in the family and they both behave how a clutch should behave. I would recommend unbolting the clutch pump (slave cylinder) from the side of the gearbox and trying the pedal again. This would prove whether your fault is internal (clutch) or an external fault. Certainly better than removing the gearbox again!! Keep us updated... Sandy.
Hello. Thank you for your prompt response. I do not have engineering knowledge and I cannot do these things on my own. I went to 2 different mechanics and they told me that the clutch sensation is almost standard. But I am sure that if I leave it like this it will totally hurt my leg. I couldn't imagine such an airy small French car to be so hard on tge clutch. I have started thinking to try and find any reinforced upper or/and lower clutch pumps, or even better a servo mechanism.
One if the wires going to the maf sensor was chewed off by a rat and the check engine light came on. Should i just patch the wire and disconnect the battery for a while? Will this fix the issue?
Hello. Dis-connect the battery, do your wire repair and re-connect the battery. I’m unsure if your engine light will stay on or will go off when the cable is repaired. Sometimes you have to delete the code with a code reader. I did a soldering video when i first started RU-vid and it shows how to do a wire repair 😉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nFw3TU3ndMg.htmlsi=eVCtO9oW04KOeWqG Let us know how you get on 👍
I'm glad you have those videos up. I'm going to write my signature on those filters and bring to my dealer, last time I brought my car to them, they pretend they have changed the car battery, which they haven't, so I'm sick and tired of them trying to cheat on me...
The pollen filter is an easy one to say has been changed when it hasn’t, because most people don’t even know it exists 👍 The pollen filter is not on every service schedule, you would have to specifically say you want it changed 😉 Hope all goes well and thanks for watching my channel 👍
Yeah, quite nasty! I’ve just watched it through, and realised i didn’t add the link at the end… all sorted now 👍 I will do another video on the Picasso showing the scuttle panel removal and clearing of the nastiness. I’ll do that before the winter. Keep an eye out for the vid 😉
About time a video when you start with the bonnet closed, it makes life so much easier when people can see what parts are being undone to get to the part your fixing or replacing
Thanks for the positive feedback 😎 I’m trying to keep the channel user friendly for the average home mechanic, (like me) and using basic hand tools accessible to most people. Hope the vid helped you out 👍
The 2017 is the new shape C3. I’m unsure, and i wouldn’t want to give you incorrect advice, so i would say NO they are different. The engine fitted to my sons car is a 1.4 hdi diesel engine… most of the newer C3’s tend to have a 1.2 petrol engine fitted. Sorry i couldn’t help 🤷♂️
I followed this guide the first time I changed CVT fluid (good guide). This time as I was watching the video again it struck me - why not just remove the battery? Its easier, faster and less of a hassle, and worked just as well^^
@@martinaronsen3586 The next time the father in-law wants his gearbox oil changed, i’ll remove the battery and record another video 👍 Thanks for the feedback, it’s good for anyone watching the video and reading the comments 😎 Regards, Sandy.
An excellent quick fix! Thanks for posting! I personally would love to see more videos with the honda jazz. The brake replacement video was very educational for me!
Thanks for the positive comment 👍 Not sure if you’re aware , i’ve got a Honda Jazz Playlist. The Jazz belongs to my in-laws, i’ll ask them if they need any jobs doing 🤔
Thanks for this detailed and easy-to-follow guide on changing the air filter for the Seat Arona! Your step-by-step instructions and clear visuals made the process straightforward and hassle-free. I appreciate the effort you put into creating this helpful content. Keep up the great work!
GILBERE,S advice is very helpfull . I have problem with ttpms on rear back tyre pasanger side have done tyre preasure but problem keepe coming back with no loss of tyre preasure so i will have to replace battery in this unit to solv the problem..so your advice was very helpfull. Patrick.
Awesome video, got a C4 Grand Picasso that showed a P2563 and I found your video. Not a fix'er-up myself, but feel better going to the dealer not getting ripped off.
I would clean the Maf and the Map sensors and definitely check the air filter. If you look on my channel i've got a Yeti Playlist which shows how to service the car... air filter included 👍
I had a broken spring on the front right wheel. Went to the mechanics and decided to change both the front right spring and the front left spring. At the same time it was time to change from winter tires to summer tires. I bought 4 new Nokian summer tires. I also was at the mechanics that check the balance between all the tires. But on a Seat Ibiza you cant do anything with the rear tires just on the front tires and so they did. All this was for 6 weeks ago. Since i got my car back from the guy who check my tires on the car i have got the pressure tire light warning nearly every day. I had a toe in on my car and he put it close to 0 or maybe tiny toe out. I have also been at my local Seat dealer and they cant understand why i have it like this. My Seat dealer will help me next week to send my car to the guy they use for buying new tires and he also can check if I got the perfect balance between toe in and toe out. Have anyone of you had it like this? I am going like crazy in any minute from now🤣🤣👍
Hello, sounds like you've been having fun 🙄 If the mechanic removed the front struts to replace the springs then its best to get the alignment set-up to prevent uneven tyre wear, so i would definitely get that re-checked. Regarding the tyre pressures...have you checked the tyre pressures are correct and reset the computer as shown in my video? If the mechanic who replaced your tyres put the wheels back in a different position on the car, this can cause an issue. There is a pressure sensor on the back of the valve inside the wheel and sometimes these can be damaged when changing tyres over. Regards Sandy.
@@gilberesrepairs i will gonto an other mechanic on monday for new check on toe in and toe out. He will also check the balance on my tires. Do you call it "spider joint"? The car is 8 years. Maybe those might be broken or having problem when they change the springs?
@@gilberesrepairs i will. I have been having this for like 6 weeks now and spent to much money on this issue. But having the pressure tire light turn on nearly every single day drive me crazy. Some Seat cars seems to get this during a life time but I really I hope I get the answers that solve this. My wifes Ibiza dont have any buttons to confirm the pressure like the old Leon had near the handbrake, everything is on the lcd.
Not a problem 👍 I have another video showing the towbar installation as well 😉 Have a go, it’s an ok job that can be done at home 👍 Here’s the towbar i fitted… www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280745827605?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8tXJPXQ-SEa&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=LRS3OLTrS6i&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY There are flange type and swan neck types you can buy.
That’s brilliant my video helped you carry out the job yourself 😎 Don’t forget to check out my Jazz Playlist for more videos 😉 Thanks for the comment 👍
--- Thank you, I would appreciate it if you could answer my question. The hose on the left side of my fuel filter has been disconnected, and my car won't start. Do you think this could be the problem? --- Feel free to ask if you need any further assistance!
Yes, that’s definitely the problem! If you put it back on, make sure you bleed the system! The part of the video where i press the black button many times 😉 Any problems, don’t be afraid to ask 👍
@@samanaliasi5641 Hello, the P0335 error code doesn’t relate to a fuel problem. It relates to the Crankshaft Position Sensor/Circuit. Basically the ecu is not sensing the engine rotation/turning over. Have you tried clearing the code and seeing if it comes back when you try to start the engine?
