I sadly missed out on the Layton series as a kid, but none the less, this song just feels like home and happiness to me. Sure, there's a bit Dark Cloud nostalgia talking, but after all of the tears and hardships I've been through, I really aim to have a soul as light and cheerful as this song. I deserve it.
As someone who has never played this game, I thought this sounded familiar. Veniccio's theme from Dark Cloud 2 feels heavily channeled through this, which Tomohito Nishiura also composed. Give it a listen for sure if you're a fan of this!

I always find myself coming back to the Layton OSTs a few times each year. The instrumentation choices tend to be quite unique -- certainly not helped by the relatively limited speakers of the DS -- but blend together to great effect, creating a pleasing, almost classical style. Great stand-out from a great series.
